Heya, @quinn! Couldn't agree more!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51pm Uncle Michael:

Has anyone seen the horse I rode in on?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53pm Uncle Michael:

reggae time is slightly less tight
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53pm Sam Segal:

@UM, if I knew the answer to that question, I wouldn't need to do this show every week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54pm Uncle Michael:

Let's hope you never find the answer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00pm coelacanth:

greetings Sam and equestrians
...nice earth reference there!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01pm coelacanth:

(...or did earth take that from something else?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03pm Sam Segal:

Evening, @coelacanth! I believe Earth took it from some Bible verse...but I did indeed take it from Earth. My favorite record of theirs. Found out recently that Bill Frisell is all over it. Did you know that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08pm coelacanth:

i had heard that but my copy is 2nd generation with no info and i never did look it up to see if it's true.
-yeah, excellent album.
Avatar 10:12pm NFL Longsnapper:

hell-oh 2 my horse fiends!! expecially my knew fend THE DOCTOR, who'm I met when i was a labor organizer at a maternity ward. didnt crosss the pick-et line but did gett stabbed and now have bad scab !!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15pm coelacanth:

just looked into that earth album and something i did not know is that the song titles all reference the Cormac McCarthy book, "blood meridian". i've never read it but am a fan of the author so this intrigues me. (you may have noticed my occasional references to "all the pretty horses"?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm Sam Segal:

@NFL: Great to have you back on the board! Hope your scab is healing up well :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17pm Sam Segal:

@coelacanth: been meaning to read Blood Meridian for a few years now...perhaps this is the sign both of us have been waiting for
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm coelacanth:

i'll take it. i need to finish what i'm on now first though. i'm notorious for having 2-3 books partly read at a time. it gets confusing sometimes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26pm Sam Segal:

I'm the same way. What're ya working on nowadays?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35pm coelacanth:

narcissus and goldmund by Hesse.
...technically i'm 1/2 way through "crime and punishment" but i'm not convinced i need to finish it.
  10:42pm the doctor:

NFL, is it true you've been drafted by the Giants? Rumor has it that they covet literary longsnappers.
Avatar 10:43pm geezerette:

Hi Sam and everyone!
Just checking in to say Love No. 1" is like a perfectly chilled Martini.
Avatar 10:44pm geezerette:

Lovely cool mood on a blistering night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46pm Sam Segal:

@G! Glad you're here. I like my martinis with vodka and an unpalatable amount of olive juice.
Avatar 10:47pm geezerette:

Same here Sam. Cheers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47pm Sam Segal:

@Doc, I heard a similar rumor. Care to comment @NFL?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52pm coelacanth:

milano per caso was the theme music to a wfmu dj many years ago.(...or he just played it a lot?) i think it was a guy with the moniker "the immigrant", who there seems to be no record of having existed in the archives or elsewhere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53pm Sam Segal:

Woah, had no idea, @coelacanth. What a perfectly jaunty piece for a theme though.
Avatar 10:55pm NFL Longsnapper:

Simmmlar concept, Doc, but i am actually working as a nite foreman at a Jolly Green Giant plant in Poughkeepsie
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00pm coelacanth:

- the immigrant was a character. 'maybe my favorite dj at the time. i have several cassettes of his shows and thought about transferring them to cds and sending them to the station for the archives. i have to wonder if there's no sign of him because that's how he wanted it when he left. his last shows had the vibe of " i'm done with this shit. i'm going back to france."
  11:02pm the doctor:

Yeah, same thing NFL
  11:35pm slawooy:

Digging the show tonight .
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37pm Sam Segal:

Thanks, @slawooy...glad you could tune in!

On second thought, could be tay-TROH...but you get the picture.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00am coelacanth:

Thanks Sam!
'night y'all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01am Sam Segal:

Thanks, @Dean. Thanks for hangin' all!
  9:34pm Gilly Siegel:

You did it my boy. I have a request. Tony Clifton or Conway twitty!!! I'm so proud of you friend. Only a year ago it was Don, Marvin, and Gilly, making trouble on the tube. Best of luck!
