I'm sitting here in the Honda Service section, headphones plugged in, bopping and grinning like a fool!

In 1997 at age 15 I won my first pair of tickets from WFMU. They were to see Sexmob at Tonic. Finally I had a real reason to take the bus into the city. It was the beginning of my adult life and I've been an avid listener supporter ever since.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58am Uncle Michael:

I'm really enjoying this interview and the music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01am doctorjazz:

Wish I could get to the parlor gig tomorrow... Already have tickets to go see my Jets embarrass themselves (or, maybe not...).
Sounds like parlor Family Affair, cool...
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:01am Brian in UK:

Captivated by Antony's voice, again.
  10:03am lloyd michigan:

Missin' the frogs.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:03am Brian in UK:

Hey doc, cupla CD-Rs on the way to you. Should take a week or so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04am doctorjazz:

Thanks, Brian in UK, any requests?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:06am Brian in UK:

Not right now but thanks anyway. Having a bit of a pruning session with music. That may sound like heresy to some folks!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14am doctorjazz:

sounds like a good idea... I'm working on getting enough albums/cd's/gear to make it on to a TV show on hoarders...
Avatar 🥁 10:14am duke:

Really enjoying the interview while I grade tests
  10:16am JazzBo:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:18am doctorjazz:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19am doctorjazz:

This album comes on great sounding vinyl, for those who cares...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am doctorjazz:

Man, Butler is a monster!
  10:23am lloyd michigan:

Henry Butler, piano, vocals ; Steven Bernstein, trumpets, alto horn ; the Hot 9 (Reginald Veal, bass, Herlin Riley, drums ; Charlie Burnham, violin ; Peter Apfelbaum, Michael Blake, Erik Lawrence, saxophones ; Doug Wieselman, clarinets ; Curtis Fowlkes, trombone ; Matthew Munisteri, guitar).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24am doctorjazz:

This Rudd album is also strongly recommended (but you can hear for yourselves...)
  10:25am Stuart Rose:

Yes, doctor, butler's piano playing is great have to admit I never heard of him until now.
Would love to hear what Bernstein thinks of Henry Kaiser's reworkings of Dead songs, with all his free jazz and fusion flavorings.
  10:27am lloyd michigan:

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but how is Steven related to Elmer?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28am doctorjazz:

I thought this was Sex Mon I didn't know...
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:30am Brian in UK:

doctor jazz, thanks for comment on the Viper's Drag vinyl. That album is new to me and will be picking it up...on vinyl not CD!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34am doctorjazz:

I have a copy, hopefully you can still find it (comes with a free download, which is not unusual, but it is WAV, which is. Not a big deal to most, but makes me happy...)
  10:35am Jim Macnie:

love the tempo on that version of "Train To Cry," Mr. Bernstein.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35am doctorjazz:
