Hello :) ,, !
  10:03pm Carmichael:

Heya Therese and Smiths!
  10:03pm famous original nastywolf:

I was just thinking of this song the other day at work.
  10:03pm P-90:

Greetings, T ! Was gaylord implying that you're made up as "Nightmare"-era Alice Cooper?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05pm redalertnyc:

Is this the album version? sounds different?
Avatar 10:05pm BadGuyZero:

Good evening!
Avatar 10:08pm Linda Lee:

loving these opening tracks. perfect for this chilly Fall evening in the mountains. thank you Therese!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10pm Therese:

Hi! Yes, if you check the social medias, you might spot me in Alice Cooper makeup.
  10:10pm Tommy Jack Haynes:

"I know it's over " takes me to another place. One among many reasons is I'm a sucker of repeating the same line with slight variation ...like Van Morrison . Also the idea of being gentle and kind particularly appeals to me in this ugly election season
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13pm Michael 98145:

well said, @TJH

  10:15pm Carmichael:

Ugly elections seem to bring out the ugly in everyone. It's easy to hate, but hard to love.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15pm Matt from Springfield:

This set is turning out extemely autumn in feel!

Hi Therese and peoples!
  10:15pm JakeGould:

@Therese: Great work at the “Ghost of Uncle Joe’s” thing today. And here you—and everyone else in Hoff and Mouth—are in a still: www.instagram.com...
And here is a short view of “Billion Dollar Babies”: www.instagram.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15pm Matt from Springfield:

@Carm: Or as someone once sang, "easy to be hard"..
Avatar 10:16pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Ha! Looking excellent.
  10:17pm JakeGould:

Also, shout out to everyone I have seen this weekend milking “Bad Hombre” and “Nasty Woman” for all it’s worth. That level of cray is worthy of costumes, buttons and t-shirts a plenty!
  10:18pm Tommy Jack Haynes:

This is the best Laura Cantrell recording I've heard
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19pm Matt from Springfield:

"Bad Umbree" you mean. I assume that's a German hot springs town??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm Matt from Springfield:

Ditto here, TJH. No idea if this is a cover or original, but it's new and amazing to me!

So classic it's new again!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm melinda:

hi everyone
  10:21pm JakeGould:

Also, a shout out to whoever this guy who was dressed as a Dracula/Count-like dog with a moving mouth who was rocking out to Alice Cooper. Best non-kid ensemble I remember form the night. www.instagram.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22pm Matt from Springfield:

Wooooo! Alice AND "Sun Arise"! No clue he did this Rolf classic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, all. The artist Bridget St. John reminds me of a family story. My sister's family moved to a town where the church is St. Bridget of Sweden and it happens that her daughter is named Bridget. Bridget went to a Catholic high school in St. Paul, MN, and she said she's from St. Bridget's, her classmates were all "Yeah, right."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm Chop Scott:

Therese! You totally killed it tonight--Cheers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm Michael 98145:

certainly never heard this before ...
  10:24pm P-90:

He had such an excellent band, Alice did
Avatar 10:25pm geezerette:

@Jake: Great costume. Looks like a really fun party.
Avatar 10:25pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...the Alice Cooper *Group*...pals w/ Syd Barrett's Floyd...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26pm Michael 98145:

yup, it's always something ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm Michael 98145:

.. and this Stone Roses is something. thank you.
Avatar 10:34pm northguineahills:

Hmmm, I faved this Stone Rose's tune on your show in June 2015.
Avatar 10:36pm Linda Lee:

is that your beautiful red hair Therese? looks like a fun show!
  10:36pm JakeGould:

I remember being so into the Stone Roses back in the day, but then upset they never played the U.S.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40pm Matt from Springfield:

Smooth song by Julee C!
CD Maxi-single, a shame they didn't fit more songs like this on it!
  10:42pm JakeGould:

And coincidentally I have decided for the first time since it first aired to give “Twin Peaks” another chance.
Avatar 10:46pm Linda Lee:

Billie Holiday did a gorgeous version of this one ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47pm Matt from Springfield:

Gorgeous lyrics here, one of Nick Cave's finest compositions.
Check out Eliza Rickman's cover of this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Zats, Shana Falana played in nearby Kingston on Friday night, but I wasn't able to go.
  10:58pm Kevin:

Therese I always love your show but tonight has been really special so far already. Hitting a lot of sweet points for me, including this new TFC song. (Already pledged this round btw : )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58pm Therese:

Avatar 10:59pm geezerette:

this is gorgeous.
  11:02pm Kevin:

I've lost that Julee Cruise maxi-single. Been looking for it. Has a great remix of that song too
Avatar 11:02pm Linda Lee:

i can't listen to anything from the Boatman's Call without shedding tears. 97 was not a good year.
  11:02pm P-90:

Shana's track had a huge sound.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Two more weeks of DST. Back to non-DST November 6.
  11:04pm Kevin:

No kidding #lindalee that Cave album just kills me.
Avatar 11:05pm BadGuyZero:

I went to see "Fire Walk With Me" at least once a week during its original theatrical run. I haven't watched it in at least a decade, but I bet I could still quote along to most of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06pm melinda:

Secret golfer, haha!
Avatar 11:06pm Irwin:

No effin' way.
  11:06pm MONEYBAG$:

I'm Eighteen is actually sung from the point of view of a golf course
Avatar 11:06pm Linda Lee:

X Ray Burns is a golfer.
Avatar 11:06pm BadGuyZero:

I bet Dave Hill owns some plaid golf pants.
  11:07pm P-90:

dressing as "Golf Alice Cooper": now there's an idea, hmmm...
  11:07pm P-90:

@Irwin: hahaha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:07pm Ken From Hyde Park:

WFMU golf tees...possible marathon premium?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08pm Gaylord Fields:

@MONEYBAG$: That remark is a hole-in-one!
Avatar 11:08pm Linda Lee:

Golf Alice Cooper looked totally average. no makeup at all.
  11:09pm P-90:

@Ken FHP: or Madras-plaid shorts embroidered with "Woof-Moo" logo in style of Lacoste alligator?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@P-90 - First, let us consult a Venn diagram of WFMU listeners and golfers.
Avatar 11:14pm Linda Lee:

John Doe ~ always the heart throb. even now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16pm Matt from Springfield:

Avatar 11:17pm jeff-m:

was driving earlier when it played. thanks for the extra lovely Julie Cruz. lovely, lovely dark empty highways to listen to it on
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19pm Therese:

@Irwin: I was just speculating!
Avatar 11:21pm jeff-m:

new BJM :)
  11:22pm P-90:

"....let's see, what old white guys are here... Bob Brainen, Irwin...sure, they COULD be golfers, why not...?
  11:23pm JakeGould:

Why aren’t there more miniature golf places out there? Who doesn’t like miniature golf! It’s the golf of common folk.
Avatar 11:24pm Linda Lee:

we have shooting ranges now.
  11:27pm P-90:

Haha shooting ranges as the "golf of common folk" in 2016...yikes, maybe too true
Avatar 11:28pm Linda Lee:

it is. that's where we're at.
Avatar 11:28pm jeff-m:

driving ranges?
Avatar 11:31pm Linda Lee:

that was then ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31pm Matt from Springfield:

The music's "Grey", and I love it!
  11:36pm P-90:

Yo Matt von Schprungfeldt, how you doin'? That 'Whatchamcallit Dave Hill Show" comments board on Mondays has suffered from your recent frequent absences.
Avatar 11:37pm northguineahills:

I still love miniature golf, Jake!
  11:38pm JakeGould:

@nirthguineahills: I do too but where in NYC can I play it? All I see are places that have cornhole and bocce ball.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I was a golfer for Halloween once, years ago.
Avatar 11:39pm northguineahills:

Well, the Bushwick Country Club on Grand St has a homemade 5 hole miniature golf course, complete w/ a spinning windmill made of PBR cans.
Avatar 11:40pm BadGuyZero:

I enjoy playing miniature golf.
  11:40pm P-90:

I'd love to see a miniature golf course in Manhattan, like in those new park complexes they're building along the Hudson.
Avatar 11:40pm Linda Lee:

there's a game called cornhole .. ?
Avatar 11:40pm Linda Lee:

i'm clearly behind the times ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41pm Matt from Springfield:

Hey P-neunzig!
I still appear on the GDDHS fairly often - though nothing like my "peak commenter" years, notifying Irwin's board at the beginning if I *wouldn't* be able to come that day!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@Linda - It's a game of beanbag toss.
  11:41pm P-90:

I thought that game fell out of favor when AIDS appeared...?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:43pm Matt from Springfield:

@P-90: That's when San Fran and other localties started their big "bag toss" campaign - "Wrap it up, and throw safely!"
  11:43pm P-90:

@Matt: you guys are all the same, you hit the big time, and don't hang out like you used to any more. Hrmph.
  11:48pm JakeGould:

Cornhole is just a game where you toss a beanbag in a wooden hole. It's somehow becoming big in NYC in bars.
It is literally just a piece of wood with a hole in it and the bean bags are just bean bags. What joy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49pm PMD:

Great show Therese!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50pm Matt from Springfield:

@P-90: If it will make you feel better, I'll be available for autographs at 2 upcoming Dave Hill shows in DC! You might even catch a "Triad" of DH Legends along with Valerie "Supermeowy" and Jeff "Man of Mysterious Mystery" HQ!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53pm Matt from Springfield:

"Roxy" Savoy Motel Music! Awesome vibe!
  11:54pm P-90:

So, I'm wondering what Acela tickets to DC are going for these days?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58pm Matt from Springfield:

Heh, if not this time you're still high on my Meetup list, P-90! :)
I'll upload us "Triads" and any other FMU fans to the WFMU Flickr page, promises to be an awesome night(s)!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59pm Matt from Springfield:

Thank you muchly, Therese! Enjoyable walk through your musical tastes!

Have a good night, everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Huh...two hours goes by quickly. Have a good week, everyone. Thanks, Therese!
Avatar 12:00am BadGuyZero:

@JakeGould: I've played cornhole a couple of times. It was played with washers about the size of a half-dollar coin instead of bean bags.
