Hi Matt and Drumstiteers.
Avatar 2:16pm Joe non Papa:

That new Rolling Stones sounds amazing (if all of the cuts are as good as this).
Avatar 2:16pm Dominick:

Oooh yeah!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm Gaylord Fields:

@kristin: Perhaps Matt will play "Lights Out," by the Angry Samoans.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm Gaylord Fields:

Even though just half of the song will suffice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Webhamster Henry:

The Stones should sing Flip , Flop and Fly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm Gaylord Fields:

@Webhamster Henry: Flip, Flop, and Fly are actually nicknames for three of the Stones.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Gaylord Fields:

@Matt F: That's gotta be Mickey Baker on the Ronnie Bird 45, n'est ce-pas?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm Matt F:

Dunno, doesn't sound like him to me, but whoever it is is goooood.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm Webhamster Henry:

More Sammy for his 91st!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm Gaylord Fields:

Maybe Mickey picked while Jacques or Pierre fretted, or vice versa.
Avatar 2:50pm Monica:

"get your enjoys" - one of my faves! do the damn thing, eunice!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm Matt F:

Gaylord- Someone fiddled while Paris burned, that's for sure.
Avatar 3:08pm acid casualty:

Love me some bobby Charles. Thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm listener james from westwood:

The first thing I ever credibly recognized as WFMU was very shortly after Sammy passed. I stopped at random on a station playing his "Got a Lot of Living," listened to the rest of it, and then a DJ came on and said, "That was Sammy Davis Jr.—GET IT??!"

When I became a regular lis'ner 2 y later, I recognized that DJ had been Bronwyn C.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm I'm the Face (if you want it):

Did Slim get paid?
Swag For Life Member 3:18pm Leonardo:

Sorry I didn't get all that. What was after oregano?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm Gaylord Fields:

@listener james from westwood: So then, News of the Dead was your gateway to WFMU? Good one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Gaylord Fields:

@I'm the Face (if you want it): Nor did the Dynamics see a tuppence for the flip side of "I'm the Face" ("Zoot Suit"), even though it's a blatant ripoff of their song "Misery"!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm Uncle Michael:

Slim shoulda lawyered up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm Gaylord Fields:

@Uncle Michael: If only it was Slim Groucho, then things may have would up a bit more litigious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm Gaylord Fields:

(By the way, I just decided that my new blues name is Slim Zeppo.)
Swag For Life Member 3:49pm Leonardo:

Now this is how you play guitar!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52pm Gaylord Fields:

News Flash: Robert "Barefootin'" Parker's favorite spaceman has left the Earth's orbit again. John Glenn, R.I.P.
Avatar 3:54pm ndbob:

excellent show Matt!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm Matt F:

The man who, according to Tommy McClain, walked on the moon in 1967 (when Led Zeppelin were atop the charts). RIP.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm Gaylord Fields:

Matt, you made me chuckle a little too loudly at my desk! Damn you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm listener james from westwood:

@Gaylord: Among my earliest! I think I also caught a random Hour of Slack before my first full-time boss formally intro'd me via the radio on his desk. "I listen to this weird college radio station. If it ever bugs you, I can turn it off," he said. It didn't and he didn't. Sept. 14, 1992.
Avatar 3:56pm geezerette:

& I'm Slim Chi Co., all blues supplements for enervated nervous systems.
John Glenn in space for real? Damn it !!!

Hello/Goodbye,Matt,Gaylord,fabulous show I mostly missed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm Gaylord Fields:

@listener james from westwood: If anyone deserves a "World's Greatest Boss" mug, it's that fine gent of taste and distinction!
Avatar 3:57pm Monica:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm listener james from westwood:

If you ever hear on air, or receive, a pledge from Chris from Bloomfield, that's him. I owe him an incalculable debt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm Gaylord Fields:

@Matt F: "Blue Moon" — I see what you did there.
Avatar 4:00pm Monica:

oh, gaylord - you don't miss a trick! xxoo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm Matt F:
