Jaw-dropping liner notes on the German Oak album. Apparently it says "We dedicate this record to our parents which had a bad time in World War 2."
Understatement of all time.

We know where this is going. La Donald discovers that being President kinda sucks for a person of his temperament. Finds a plausible excuse not to run again. Mike Pence runs against whoever. If he wins, you'll be be missing the Trump presidency in next to no time.
Avatar 12:59am

If I had to guess I would say that the DNC's going to invest a lot of time and money into running Corey Booker and Elizabeth Warren... unfortunately I don't think either would win (and I'm not a booker fan).
Avatar 1:00am
slowbear:

I think Warren is a very regulatory-minded politicians and it will bore the crap out of voters the same way Hillary did.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00am
tuner fish:

do you think Bernie might run again, and would he have a better chance?
Avatar 1:01am

Simon: All too plausible. Still, Trump has to think of a way that not running for re-election doesn't mean he's given up or lost.
Avatar 1:01am
slowbear:

Man I hope Bernie runs. I hope that guy is getting some exercise. But who knows.
Avatar 1:02am

I think Trump is actually realizing that this is the easiest job ever for him, and that he just has to do whatever Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway tell him, and read off the teleprompter

I think it's 50/50 Trump has a heart attack and dies in office. He always looks awful, and he's already got the White House loaded with Doritos.

DJ premium: bands with two drummers. Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Mothers of Invention. Who else?
Avatar 1:19am
Scraps:

You don't know what's going on in Truck's mind or body. Especially at 69.

I am in constant pain. If I eventually kill myself, it will not be because haven't thought it through. I think you should respect his decision, not knowing him. Basically, people wanting him to change his thought is selfish, by accusing him of selfishness.

Go in peace, Jeff. I don't think i will change your mind, but it's a personally important issue.

Dean:

The only AB album I ever owned (prior to relatively recently acquiring Live at Fillmore East) was Brothers & Sisters. I never thought twice about *later* AB records. Meanwhile, I always admired the older records with Duane. This taste of the stuff I deliberately avoided is really pleasant.

Two drummers: Genesis, post-Gabriel w/ Collins and Chester Thompson.

Never thought of The Fall as a band one "cared for" at all. I mean, if there was ever a sui generis rock band, it's The Fall. They won me over with "Repetition," but otherwise I'd be perpetually wondering..."Huh?"
Avatar 1:30am

true enough, i imagine i've heard enough Allman Brothers to know they taste like shit to me, but then the Allman Brothers haven't been around for 42 years and gone through dozens of line-up changes. if they had, i would perhaps be more cautious...

I often wish that Jefferson Airplane had had two drummers. Spencer was great in his own way, but he could have used some support from someone like Aynsley Dunbar, for example.

My favorite jazz band of the nineties, The Henry Threadgill Sextett, had two drummers, Reggie Nicholson and Pheeroan AkLaff.
