Heck - to be perfectly candid - I didn't even know about 'PetSounds' until the 90s probably. Amazing to find it there behind Pepper, to say the least.

It's like all the Rawk from power chords: advances as becomes more primitive - a conundrum...

We get thankfully little of that these parts - but it does happen...
