...Also re A.M. Gold & the Pop40 & all - on one hand, we took so much for granted in Culture - but yeah - it was Serious Business in Modernism. Here in PostPostPost-Modernism, we're used to buffet-style Culture. We don't expect any Statement to be so Life or Death - or to provide Answers so much...I sometimes think. Tho' I think FMUvians give a serious sh*t about Music...

People don't understand that Jazz Artists are most often as disciplined as Classical ones. Ask other Musicians about the mind of Bird.
After Modernism - what is 'Classical'? 'Folk'? 'Popular'? After the 20thCentury - what is Civilization or Sanity, for that matter...
