All Sleepy Cities have now been renamed Mattress Firm City.
Avatar 10:08pm Hoboken Jack:

Therese, you are KILLIN' IT right off the bat!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Of course this show is boiling hot. It's 2/12 today. (212° F being the boiling point of water.)
  10:11pm Mark R:

Hi Therese! First time I've been up late enough to catch your show in months!
Avatar 10:13pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

Wow, that segue was so good I thought I was listening to my show!
Avatar 10:13pm Hoboken Jack:

@Mark R: Being up late enough to catch a show sucks
  10:13pm Mark R:

Avatar 10:14pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

BubbleGum - all about Lust.
  10:14pm Mark R:

"Goody Goody Gumdrops" is crying out for a Sex Pistols "Stepping Stone" version.
  10:15pm Mark R:

Unrequited lust.
Avatar 10:16pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...& the >Sex<Pistols never about actual Sex in a celebratory way...
  10:17pm Mark R:

Wow, after not hearing Matthew Sweet for years, I've heard him twice on FMU this week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17pm Therese:

Hi Everyone!!! Thanks for stopping by!
Avatar 10:17pm katie:

What a perfect set.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:18pm Scraps deSelby:

"Perfect in so many ways": beautiful, beautiful hook.
  10:20pm Mark R:

Oh, there's a new Matthew Sweet collection, isn't there? Duh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm Scraps:

Like Mark said, heard it twice. Not enough....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm Uncle Michael:

I saw Matthew play well down the bill last summer...it was on a festival date very near to his house. Only us old people cared.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm Scraps:

What! Girlfriend is one of your basic power pop albums; like, top 5!
  10:22pm Mark R:

This bed music kicks major ass, anyway.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25pm Scraps:

Not in response to Unc Michael
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26pm PMD:

Lovely so far!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27pm Uncle Michael:

Hitting the sweet spot, Therese...I'll take my leave and listen away from the comments. Night all.
  10:29pm Mark R:

Don't try to tell me Syd & Marty Kroft weren't major acid heads. Just check out Uncle Michael's avatar.
  10:29pm Dean:

Bummer. Just read that Al Jarreau died this a.m.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:31pm Scraps:

My legion of acidheads always said that. Me, I don't know; Lidsvile f'ckn frightened me.
Avatar 10:33pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Huff'n'Puff in 'Lidsville'...what's scary about a little golden flute in yer pocket that talks to you? That's the 70s the Pistols reacted to mahhn...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35pm @sugarwolf@:

I saw Martin Fry smoking on a street near Covent Garden many years ago.
Avatar 10:35pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...but it took contempo designer drugs to make Tellytubbies...have you seen BoohBah - ?! The people in WoodyAllen's 'Sleeper' got nothing on them...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35pm Scraps:

Ah, The Look of Love (mark two)! Love/hate the awesome/stupid video!
  10:36pm Mark R:

You guys saw the "Mr. Show" take on the Kroft brothers, right? www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHqcNj0Pv6c
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37pm Scraps:

Love unreservedly Teletubbies. Have a Dipsy stuffie.
Avatar 10:39pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@MarkR: HaHaHa !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42pm Scraps:

Back when they called themselves the Bangs?
  10:47pm KP:

Partridge Family, wow. Thanks, Therese
  10:52pm ice in Bklyn:

Aahhh. I've been working on the stage production of Amelie for the past few weeks. Look for it at your local NYC theater soon!
Avatar 11:08pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Irwin did say JoeFrank scrapped his book because Joe thot it didn't work w/out the music & audio...
  11:10pm BennettCap:

Among many other things...
... and then, ...
That going to be fun.

Breaking News from Todd-o-phonic Todd!!
  11:27pm cheri:

hello therese and all, may I say have a sweet valentines day this Tuesday!
  11:31pm cheri:

goodnight everybody!
  11:35pm Mark R:

Ah, "Stratford-on -Guy"--kind of a classic at this point, isn't it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Yes, send the stuff to Mexico. I like that idea.
  11:42pm JakeGould:

Yes, Atari dumped tons of stock in the desert as some kind if unsold merch tax write-off or some crap like that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45pm Therese:

I'm thinking that might be the best choice among bad options.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48pm Therese:

Extended Champ Sound Remix (AKA, DJ Guy Startled me and I hit the wrong button)
  11:51pm JakeGould:

Agreed. But I remember getting very excited about the Atari 2600 version of Pac-Man, going out with my friend who happened to have an Atari 2600 and buying the cartridge, plugging it in and… Man… That game sucked… “E.T.” was a shitty game but the Pac-Man 2600 is wretched.
Avatar 11:53pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

This show was so good I prioritized it over The Odd Couple episode with Alex Karras. The highest praise I can give.
  11:53pm cheri:

hey therese, when I was growing up I remember those Atari video games my mother & father were so great at them, I stunk at them! night for real.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54pm Therese:

Whuttt?!?!?! The Alex Karras episode?!
  11:54pm JakeGould:

The subtext of the Atari desert garbage dump burial is they did that because Atari had a manufacturing plant in El Paso, Texas. Just imagine… Stuff like that being made in the U.S.!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56pm Gaylord Fields:

Therese, didn't you know you're the soundtrack to Odd Couple episodes for many of us?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Therese. Happy St. Valentine's Day and all the good stuff this week.
