Great big GIFs! Although I haven't loaded/see them yet am pretty sure they are all mesmerising, hypnotic and/or hilarious.
Talking about DEFCON that reminds me of the Spanish band DEFCON DOS who has a song named "La culpa de todo la tiene Yoko Ono" ('Everything is Yoko Ono's fault'). The funny song even mentions the psychic spoon bender Uri Geller.
No request this week. Steve now forbids radio in the living room between 10 PM & 10 AM because he MIGHT be trying to sleep. He makes bigger donations to Auricle than I do, so.... But more importantly, he's sick, has trouble sleeping, & I feel bad for him. Temporarily can't stream and WMFU reception in my bedroom's now impossible due to QRM from phone-to-broadband converter.

Requests?
What a coincidence! I have here with me my condensed list of 234 requests songs. Let's see...
What about something from FAAAAAAUUUUUUSSSSSSTTTTT new album?
Or what about instrumental rock song you used to play hundreds of years ago as a bed music during mic breaks? It's not one of those songs used to close the show (i.e. Baby Animal, Friends of Dean Martinez, Sayonara, etc). But also it's not the White Punks on Dope, nor the classic music one that irritates one listener. The only thing I know about that song is it's one of those perfect songs of yours, Ken!
I'm invited to a corn festival this weekend, so Corn Weenie?

Can we dedicate today's show to Simon, the would-be most gigantic rabbit on earth that died yesterday in a United Airlines flight (presumably during a re-accommodation procedure?)?
oh and my favorite fake album cover, soulless man sings sweater songs!

Requests, eh. As usual, as I usually do, for over 20 years now, play some Graham Parker. Not really your style, Ken, but I humbly suggest maybe his cover of R. Dean Taylor's "There's A Ghost in My House"
Just imagine the looks on your friend's faces when they see a hundred dollar trophy on your shelf. They'll have a hard time looking you in the eye after that.
I am ashamed to confess I have somewhere in my computer a photo and props of Benjamin, the Wild Man of Hypnosis that I found hidden in the darkest corner of the Internet.
The are several good song sin that Brown Whornet album. You have played some of them, Ken. If I'm not mistaken the last one you played from them was the one with the fake Spanish lyrics few years ago. Yes. That's how sad my life is that I even know that detail.
I risk being tiresomely political, but I have to note that the Fox'News' people know a thing or two about the freedom and lack of inhibitions the hypnotised feel, and so did Leni Riefenstahl.
Hey, nice to hear some MoM on WFMU !
This track was on Niun Niggung originally though, one of their best albums IMO.

Oh, Murakami Whywolf...
You know what I found today by mere chance when searching for the news of the dead of Simon the Gigantic Rabbit? Fox News practices fake news! And they are not ashamed of it.
Let me elaborate: When you search for the news using DuckDuckGo search engine, FoxNews article will come up at the top with the title "Simon the Rabbit shot and killed by United Airlines after ...". But after clicking the link in search results and getting redirected to the article its title changes to "Simon the giant rabbit, destined to be world's biggest, dies on United Airlines flight". Clickbaiting with fake news! FoxNews has the winning formula!
Matmos' "Reconstruction" from the "Civil War" album is one of the few successful instrumental, experimental electronic-folk-pastiche English-n-American political history jams you'll ever hear. Although, I suppose there isn't much competition in the field.
Hey all. The subject of David Hasselhoff came up over the water cooler... anyone know why he is so big in Germany? Was it his singing? Knight Rider? Bay Watch?
Did I tell you the time I forced a Czech friend to listen to a DVA song to verify if the lyrics were in Czech and the guy say 'No, they aren't singing in Czech' but I still wouldn't believe him thinking "this guy doesn't knows Czech'?

JakeGould:
“The Sun newspaper reported that Simon was the 10-month-old son of the world's largest rabbit - a 1.3m-long continental giant rabbit called Darius - and was expected to have grown larger than his father.”
That headline was the first thing I saw when I woke up this morning. I read it multiple times, convinced that I was misunderstanding at least one word in there.
ken: just tuned in, but thank you for this twisted disco set. i am stuck ornamenting the powder room vanity of a trump supporter on east 89 street so it's kinda saving my life right now.
We Will Make Love (French Version) and We Will Make Love (Spanish Version) have been considered useful for inclusion in French and Spanish language immersion classes

Oooooh! See βrian, people? Today's show unravels the mysterious connection between Simon The rabbit and Laurice.
Only Station Manager Ken would play a German cover from what can be translated as the Fabulous Counter Sluts (counter here in the sense of the sort of counter where one might order or pay for something).
I'm back...I just came back from Youtube listening to the great Laurice. People, the We Will Always make Love is such a little brilliant song!!! By the way, it is recorded under his real name Laurie Marshall.
It took Jim O'Rourke to introduce me to the genius of John Barry's James Bond soundtracks, although I was already a fan of some of his other soundtracks.
Judging by my Youtube research findings I can confirm you Laurice had a big hit in Mexico in the middle 70's with the song Amaremos Dia y Noche (We Will Make Love).
Mocedades ? on my WFMU? By the way, Irwin produced an outsider's music album where a guy sings this song in English. Everybody trashes him but I think he does a pretty good job sining the song.
U hav done it Ken. I am crying. I grew up listening to Las Mocedades. WTF made u play this song? I'm really curious. Wow. Darn it. U hav brought up all these suppressed memories. Awesome n scary.
We Will Make Love (a genuine Tom Moulton 12” disco mix) was a smash in Canada, topped the charts in many Latin American countries, Eurasia and was a smash in Europe
