Listener comments!

Unfashionably early, again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11am Aitch:

Viva le Butthole!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12am Aitch:

Fine show yours, relatively recent discovery. Cheers from wintry Australia.
Avatar 12:15am Wm.:

Thanks, Aitch! It's about to get nasty in here...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17am sinister dexter:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19am upsetter5001:

Is the exorcism still a go?
Avatar 12:27am Wm.:

Goddamn priest canceled on me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am Aitch:

I can take it!

this is the perfect segue to NOW 98
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44am Aitch:

QLD is Queensland, a State in Australia.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50am Listener Howard and the Cats:

LOVED Alchemist Cookbook! Been wanting to see Buzzard and the rest.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30am Listener Howard and the Cats:

Wm., ages ago there was another FMU show that had "Video Nights" once or twice a year, related to the kind of things the show played on air. They were amazingly fun, and thinking about them today made me think how great an evening of videos curated by you would be. I would subscribe if there was a Castle streaming video mix channel. And I'd probably watch little else.
  1:36am Eric Hat:

wm: right with you. Accidentally slept through yr first hour.
  1:46am ian:

speaking as someone who lived in NYC for 12 years, this whole content only makes sense to me because of that. I'm right there with you man...
Avatar 1:46am Megadano:

I though Princeton was the San Francisco of NJ...
Avatar 1:47am Wm.:

Eric, Ian, salud my brothers! Welcome. We don't have a phone but you're welcome to stay the night. Marty Feldman's ghost will show you to your rooms....
  1:48am ian:

well i'm totally gonna watch the ultimate degenerate now, thanks for the recommendation
  1:48am ian:

i thought i had seen all the cult films
Avatar 1:50am Wm.:

Princeton is ok, so is New Brunswick, but Montclair has the Meatlocker, used to have great record stores, and still has great food. They are also notable for rejecting The Patriot Act.
Avatar 1:51am Wm.:

@ian Michael Findlay is a slippery slope, you've been warned! His films are addicting in a strange, back-of-the-mind-obsessive manner ... but enjoy!! I certainly did and do.
  1:53am ian:

i had a pretty i guess stereotypical new jersey experience recently. was just looking for the cheapest place to live in a short drive to manhattan. it was like a really different country to nyc. i'm all about weird cult film directors, i cannot beleive i have never heard of this guy. repo man was my gateway drug to the world of film with limited commercial potential that still gets made.
  1:54am ian:

i mean, to me "the room" is mainstream.
  1:56am ian:

i personally make abstract video art, which noise music is the perfect soundtrack to...
Avatar 1:56am Wm.:

@ian It's truly endless. I just found out about this Joel Potrykus guy last week. Had Frank Henelotter here a few years ago, that was stellar. Always finding out about great new cult films I never knew existed!
Avatar 1:58am Wm.:

The Room, ha! ...Have you seen the Damon Packard films? Reflections of Evil? Beautiful, twisted stuff.
  2:03am ian:

wow this i a whole rabbit hole i didnt even know about, super cool. I went to art school so it was all about the french new wave and russian stuff but I have tried to find stuff on my own. seems like you know a whole scene i am ignorant of.
Avatar 2:06am Megadano:

"I was the assistant director on this picture, and I've never been alone with a woman"
Avatar 2:07am Wm.:

@ian Enjoy the ride, because it truly never ends. Old films, 60s-70s, into contemporary stuff. Check out Something Weird, a well-curated DVD label (formerly VHS) in the Pac NW. Check out Mondo Macabro. Check out Troma Films (maybe you know them already) ... Join the Shudder network for $5 a month to see contemporary stuff. It's rich, definitely. ...
Avatar 2:08am Wm.:

@Megadano yeah, probably not ...ha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10am Listener Howard and the Cats:

Ever listen to the Rialto Report? They had an interview with Roberta Findley a while ago.
Avatar 2:11am Wm.:

@Howard I'm not familiar...is that a podcast?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12am Listener Howard and the Cats:

Yes Sir, focused on golden age of porn and pre-Disney Times Square.
  2:15am ian:

yeah i went to school with a guy who directed some troma films, went on to be a writer for tosh.0 which makes sense really
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18am osvi:

Yo, finishing up Berserk manga #6, from the library, while jamming the Castle. I know you can dig that.
  2:18am ian:

of course we can :)
Avatar 2:36am Wm.:

@osvi Damn I still need to catch up on Berserk 2016! First episode was great.
Avatar 2:39am Megadano:

this is amazing right here
  2:41am rob gee:

I'm loving the noiser stuff today .. fits my mood :)
  2:51am ike:

This is fab.
Avatar 2:55am Wm.:

@Megadano yeah that Theologian track ... made just for me, too <3
Avatar 2:58am Megadano:

hah! I saw that! "RISE!!"
Avatar 1:32pm SiHV:

Avatar 2:59pm The Countess:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm Rory:

Chocolate almond milk, dinner, and one of my favorite Butthole Surfers songs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm Rory:

SiHV, Hipsters are the worst! Hipsters wearing Burzum and Darkthrone t-shirts...that just makes want to crack their skull open. Nothing gets me jolted more than that shit!
