the thing about BB is you have to pretty much ignore from the late 70s on. The stuff before that is high percentage badass & it's not his fault if it sounds corny today, pretty much everyone after bit his style. He was an originator for a lot of it, the source.

So I'm looking briefly at a recommendation for a book that seems interesting, and a moment ago I do a search for it on a site that checks many collections, and the title search brings an entry for the book....and one entry for an Etta James song with the same title. Woulda been great if that happened just a little earlier while she was playing here.

this is as i thought of Muddy Waters for a long time too, because my older brother had some post-"blues revival" records. then one day i wanted to hear the earliest "trouble no more" (which i knew via Allman Brothers Band) and found one by Muddy from '55 and from there of course sought out all that early incredible Muddy Waters stuff.
turned me 'round.
