I play music that is old and that is new. Some of it is digital while some is analog. It is from many different countries; sometimes it is loud and at other times it is quiet.

Good afternoon Mayuko and all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:02pm listener james from westwood:

Afternoon, Mayuko and all! We might still be on the stream for the moment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:02pm listener james from westwood:

There we go!
Avatar 12:03pm Sem:

Good afternoon, Mayuko, and hello, all.
Avatar 12:04pm Mayuko:

Yay! Welcome all!
Avatar 12:06pm Mayuko:

Avatar 12:08pm Mayuko:

This is actually my maiden voyage as a remote drummer streamer. Glad my rocketship launched alright.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Yvang:

Hi Mayuko and listeners! Tardigrades are fascinating and because of their abilities they were already suspected to be aliens from outerspace, so it makes sense.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm listener james from westwood:

Oh, cool that you're remote; saves commuting time! Sounds good on this side!
  12:14pm P-90:

Konichiwa Mayuko-DJ and Free-Form Tardigrades!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm listener james from westwood:

A friend of mine has a tardigrade tattoo; it's pretty damn cool.
Avatar 12:14pm Mayuko:

Yvang, that is so funny! Maybe NASA is just sending them back HOME!
Avatar 12:15pm Mayuko:

Great, james! let me know if you hear some technical hiccups (though it might sound like part of music.)
Avatar 12:16pm Mayuko:

Good afternoon, P-90!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Neat story, Mayuko. We really should send that orange White House guy along with them. You know, for scientific purposes.
  12:20pm WebHamster Henry:

Hi Mayuko ! I am very pro remote!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm coelacanth∅:

greetings Mayuko and all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm Yvang:

@Ken Yes, the orange guy seems to hate human life so much, he might be an extraterrestrial villain too.
Avatar 12:23pm fred:

@Ken: not sure about that: if they do reach another civilization, which one would you rather have represent our planet? Also, by the time said civilization reaches back, tardigrades will probably be the dominant species around here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm Jeff Golick:

Welcome to the remote world, @Mayuko! Sounding great.
Avatar 12:27pm Mayuko:

He is somehow getting away from stuff that normal humans cannot survive for sure. Then again I totally see fred's point.
Avatar 12:28pm Mayuko:

Hi Henry! and coelacanth∅! Thanks for tuning in!
Jeff, thanks! Definitely makes my life easier especially when it's snowing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@fred - Good point. We can send the orange capsule directly into the sun. For scientific purposes, of course.
Avatar 12:30pm fred:

This Henk Badings track is delightful
  12:31pm Rickwaukee:

Some of my best friends are tardigrades. :-O
Avatar 12:33pm fred:

@Ken: Maybe the capsule could be called "space force one" and nicknamed "Felicia"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Jeff Golick:

I was accidentally playing something in the background and it was working with the Henk and Delia...
Avatar 12:38pm northguineahills:

I've yet to hear the KLF Space before. How many bands named "Space" are there?
  12:43pm rbrt:

space tardigrades! :-D
Avatar 12:43pm Mayuko:

@Rickwaukee as far as I could see from the articles about them I read, tardigrades are generally superior than human friends.
  12:45pm rbrt:

they remind me of manatees
Avatar 12:45pm Mayuko:

Hallos northguineahills! When I looked them up on Discogs it was Space (3). So I suppose there are at least 2 other Spaces out there?

Glad to have you and your icon on the board, rbrt! Visually fits the theme today!
  12:47pm rbrt:

welcome back Mayuko! yes I have finally been absorbed into the show lol
  12:47pm Rickwaukee:

@Mayuko and they never let you forget it!
Avatar 12:48pm Mayuko:

@Jeff G when I was previewing one of the tracks for today, some website was open in the background and video started auto-play, talking about the universe. I totally thought it was part of the music!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm Stanley:

I learnt about tardigrades, today. This station is a never ending educational resource.
Hi Mayuko.
  12:51pm rbrt:

accidental sound collages are the best
Avatar 12:52pm Mayuko:

Haha, that's great Stanley! Happy to have you here!
  12:55pm rbrt:

ohhh Mayuko is broadcasting from space capsule
  12:55pm P-90:

Brooklyn sounds fine!
Avatar 12:55pm Sem:

Broadcasting from Brooklyn could be considered outer space, so, no, do not think you sound too loud, considering the distances involved.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm coelacanth∅:

your voice is very quiet over here, compared to the music
Avatar 12:56pm Sem:

Greets, P-90.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm coelacanth∅:

...but then i think it's always been this way
  12:57pm rbrt:

humans are all drama lol
Avatar 12:58pm Sem:

We are creatures of some gravity, agreed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm doctorjazz:

Hi, late arrival.
Avatar 12:59pm northguineahills:

Let's see, there's an alt-rock Space and an electro-disco Space, and an improv Jazz Space that I can think of.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm Ken From Hyde Park:

There's a WFMU commenter who has the handle Tardigrade. I hope he/she tunes in today.
Avatar 1:01pm northguineahills:

I found an Asian market here in Gainesville that is twice as large as my old C-town supermarket. I went crazy and bought cooking apparatuses and a crap-ton of ingredients and found my old favorite Japanese candy I loved as a kid, Superlemon. It didn''t have the same impact on my pallette as it did when I first encountered it when I was 10.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm Webhamster Henry:

If they send brine shrimp... Sea Monkeys in Space! But tardigrades would be good. They don’t need a lot of resources!
  1:03pm rbrt:

the idea of having a tiny tiny spacecraft is fascinating
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06pm Yvang:

I want to watch a TV show about a tiny spacecraft exploring the universe.
Avatar 1:06pm fred:

Your voice sounded a little lower to me, but I have a nasty cold so my hearing is even worse than usual
  1:07pm rbrt:

oh I love this Haigh track
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm listener james from westwood:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm coelacanth∅:

isn't liquid sky (partly) about a very small spacecraft's occupants?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm Yvang:

I have to see it... I remember that as a kid I loved the Fantastic Voyage...
Avatar 1:12pm fred:

So how's Bjork's new record? I know I'll eventually buy it anyway
Avatar 1:14pm Mayuko:

Sorry having a tech issue here.
  1:14pm rbrt:

I haven't heard it yet, it's on my to listen list , which is like a mile long lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm coelacanth∅:

fantastic voyage Yes! i was fascinated by the concept of being tiny as a child.
- liquid sky is definitely not for children though!
  1:15pm Jeff g.:

This is great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm coelacanth∅:

utopia's been getting airplay on fmu. i've really liked all of it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Ken From Hyde Park:

When I fly into space, I want to go with Spaceman Spiff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm coelacanth∅:

haha is that flash bazbo's partner?!
Avatar 1:19pm fred:

I got a €45 gift card for "culture" at work. It doesn't work for the kind of shows I'm interested in though. Maybe it could bring seeing Björk to an affordable level though
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20pm coelacanth∅:

oh, calvin and hobbes! Hilarious!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20pm Webhamster Henry:

Let’s hope the tardigrades don’t run into Agnello Moorehead. en.m.wikipedia.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm Webhamster Henry:

Darn that spellcheck! Agnes Moorehead!
Avatar 1:23pm Sem:

That's a great link. WebHamster Henry.Thanks!
Avatar 1:28pm Mayuko:

Thanks to those of you who let me know the mic volume issue! When i practiced I was way too loud than music so I guess this time I was being too careful...
Avatar 1:28pm Mayuko:

Hey, doctorjazz! Welcome!
  1:29pm rbrt:

I actually thought the mic sounded better than usual lol
Avatar 1:30pm fred:

I once saw a very cool college ensemble from Georgia. I think they're still around, though obviously not with the same members: www.facebook.com...
It wasn't a polished performance, and they were pissed off at playing for a dozen people when they play for thousands back home, but they played their hearts out and were really nice after the show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm doctorjazz:

Great set!
Avatar 1:41pm fred:

Clicky-starring Jacob Marie
Avatar 1:47pm Mayuko:

Brooklyn Saturday is laid back and not too happy and not too sad. Need this.
  1:53pm Rickwaukee:

Flavors of a subtle expert soup
  1:54pm rbrt:

strumgliding is an aweseome word
Avatar 1:54pm Sem:

Lovely time, Mayuko. Thank you very much indeed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm Jeff Golick:

Thanks, Mayuko!
Avatar 1:55pm Mayuko:

@Rickwaukee I might be too laid back since it's my own studio now, haha!
  1:57pm rbrt:

I like home studio Play Vertigo lol
  1:57pm Rickwaukee:

Comfortable familiar FREE
  2:00pm Rickwaukee:

Have to say I prefer regular avatar! Have yourself a great holiday run-up, Mayuko!
  2:00pm rbrt:

just let the tardigrades run the show lol
Avatar 2:01pm fred:

I think that now that you're broadcasting from your own place you should go three hours every week
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm listener james from westwood:

Honestly sounded great for a first home show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Tardigrades vs. dust mites, that's what I want to see.
Do you have a good supply of seasonal Oreos, Mayuko?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm Uncle Michael:

I didn't know you were going to stream remotely, Mayuko. Congratulations!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm listener james from westwood:

I assumed it was an instrumental and she was branching out!
  2:04pm rbrt:

I think I heard the vocals?...or was I imagining?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm Webhamster Henry:

I heard a little bit of Björk’s voice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm Webhamster Henry:

But I don’t know how it’s supposed to sound!
Avatar 2:05pm fred:

I thought I heard her voice, but I'm not sure now
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm listener james from westwood:

Mic volume sounds good on this side.
  2:06pm Rickwaukee:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm coelacanth∅:

Thank you Mayuko
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm listener james from westwood:

Thanks, Mayuko! Looking forward to the upcoming set of winter shows from within your fortress of broadcast-itude!
Avatar 2:09pm fred:

Thanks Mayuko!
Avatar 2:09pm Mayuko:

Uncle Michael! Thank you! Just started today! Apparently many things I still need to figure out.
  2:11pm rbrt:

bye everyone! have a great day :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm Uncle Michael:

Maybe I can help!
Avatar 2:11pm Mayuko:

There was like a ghostly echo of her voice on my end, but I'll check the recording and see what was really going on! I'd recommend listening to that track without vocal too anyways! Really beautiful!
Avatar 2:12pm Mayuko:

(Not that the vocal shouldn't be there!!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:13pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Mayuko. Now you can broadcast from anywhere!
Avatar 2:13pm Mayuko:

Thanks UM, I'll check if the issue was really what I thought, and def email you if I can't fix it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm Uncle Michael:

Avatar 2:14pm Mayuko:

Thanks again everyone for listening! Stay warm and have a beautiful week. See you next Saturday!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm coelacanth∅:

hey Mayuko i just want you to know that the drummer stream has not switched back on after your show ended
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm coelacanth∅:

(of course i don't know if it has anything to do with you, or if you'll get this!)
Avatar 2:23pm Mayuko:

Thanks for the heads-up coelacanth∅! The stream seemed to be working when I monitored it right after the show but I will double check now!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm coelacanth∅:

i'm sorry Mayuko! the problem was at my end. my amplifier happen to quit exactly when your last song ended.
Avatar 2:28pm Mayuko:

Haha no problem, it's always great help to receive alert from listeners! I really appreciate you letting me know!
