	♥ 6:33pm Webhamster Henry: I just find the thing mesmerizing. It has nothing to do with the show (well, there's a little snow), or with my time in Norway 41 years ago.

	♥ 6:51pm Webhamster Henry: I was there for abut 4 months when I was 19-20. I didn't go on that Bergen trip, but I did come up from Malmô, and also took the ferry from Copenhagen. This predates the Copenhagen Malmö bridge/tunnel thing. I had a Eurailpass, and I ended up in Vienna, mostly.
	♥ 6:53pm David D: That sounds great, Henry. I had a Eurailpass at around the same age and made good use of it. Still haven't made it to Norway though...

	♥ 7:06pm David D: Good question! I recently had a look at Interrail passes (the equivalent sold within Europe) and it was definitely not worth it for what we had planned.
	♥ 7:14pm Webhamster Henry: The USA Amtrak rail passes are full of restrictions -- and they seem to be pretending that the trains actually go somewhere.
	♥ 7:16pm Webhamster Henry: The old Eurailpass was basically a ticket book that you could write destinations in and just go for 3 months or so.
	♥ 7:16pm David D: Sounds like the contractually obligatory lines to nowhere in Britain, I think there was a recent internet video on that topic.
	♥ 7:16pm David D: Yes, I had that kind of Eurailpass. You just scribbled something in for the days you used it, if I recall it correctly.

	♥ 6:51pm Webhamster Henry: I was there for abut 4 months when I was 19-20. I didn't go on that Bergen trip, but I did come up from Malmô, and also took the ferry from Copenhagen. This predates the Copenhagen Malmö bridge/tunnel thing. I had a Eurailpass, and I ended up in Vienna, mostly.
