Levels are waaaayyyyyyy down.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm
doctorjazz:

Is there ANY level? Silence off my computer...
Avatar 4:02pm
northguineahills:

now, it's the opposite...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02pm
doctorjazz:

Now I hear you, but sounds a bit overloaded, distorted.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm
doctorjazz:

Must be trans-Atlantic flight stress/decompression!

Sorry about all this.

way, distorted!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm
doctorjazz:

Still has that overload/distorted sound.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm
David D:

I will try to restart things - thanks for sticking with me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm
David D:

Was the intro okay in the beginning?
Avatar 4:10pm
kimzilla:

You made it back alive!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm
David D:

Hi Kim! I did but now I'm in the time-change studio 1, which isn't streaming properly.
Avatar 4:11pm
kimzilla:

You sound ok to me. But what do i know!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm
doctorjazz:

Sounding good now!
Are you still in New Jersey?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm
David D:

That is the stream going, not me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm
doctorjazz:

(signal maybe a bit low, judging by the volume I need to set to hear it, but clear, no big deal to have the volume up higher...until the next show comes in at higher levels and blasts me, of course).
  4:15pm
Tamar:

Clearly, you need to come back to the States and streamcast in the WFMU studios.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15pm
David D:

Someone must have changed something here in the old back-up studio. I will keep trying to fix it. Otherwise I'll go on at 5pm in the usual studio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm
David D:

Hi Tamar! I may not make it back in time for this show, unfortunately.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm
David D:

Okay, I'll start the show again - please let me know if it sounds bearable.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm
doctorjazz:

Am I hearing the stream? Jazz sax
Avatar 4:18pm
northguineahills:

still distorted a bit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm
doctorjazz:

Yup, got the intro, but your voice still distorted.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm
David D:

Yes, I have no idea what happened here. It always worked before. I'll be back on air from 5-7pm today...
Avatar 4:20pm
Jeff Moore:

Good choice, David - clearly that studio sucks. The other one will be better!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm
David D:

Hi Jeff! Yes, it used to work okay but not great. I think someone must have done something that isn't readily apparent to me anyway.
Avatar 4:21pm
kimzilla:

All signs point to you coming back to Studio C in Jersey City!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25pm
David D:

That would be great, Kim! My usual studio here normally works very well - but due to the time change lag (we'll catch up by next week) I have to broadcast from here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm
Uncle Michael:

David is strictly Studio A material.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28pm
David D:

Hi Michael! Have a beer with your rain delay.

Checking in from the pool... I think I might be a little out of place with today's theme... Hello to all you snowed-in folks. David, sorry you're having technical difficulties. I look forward to half an hour from now :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:34pm
Brian in UK:

Hello David. Look forward to hearing you soon.
Snow is disappearing here but a bitterly cold East wind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:36pm
David D:

Hi Antiparticle and Brian - yes, I will wait this blizzard out, I may have a workaround but it may prove messy as well, so back on at 5pm...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm
Parq:

Hi, David, glad you made it home okay. Also glad you had fun during your visit stateside. Finally, glad I didn't miss the start of your show, even though I imagine an hour of tech problems may have taken months off your life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm
doctorjazz:

Blizzard predicted for tonight NY/NJ area, 10 inches snow or so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:03pm
Brian in UK:

Sounds good so far.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm
David D:

Hello Parq and hello again Doc, Brian, and antiparticle! Glad you could stick around through my technical blizzard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm
doctorjazz:

Sounding good on this end (the Lui Fang is coming through nicely).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm
David D:

Yes, all is back to normal - it would be terrible if neither studio worked!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm
Brian in UK:

.......and relax.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm
David D:

And thanks Parq! Things went relatively smoothly and I was back in time for the show as hoped.

Glad you made it home safe. It was really great meeting you during the marathon this year! (Hearty and I made it back safely to Kentucky. It's springtime now and about to snow here too. Blah.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm

Matt! Great to meet you too and see you here as well. Take cover from that snow!

Really enjoyed meeting you at the Mothership, David!
Time to leave Staten Island, will take you to the car, thanks!

No, just a local at large city council position (shortest ballot I've ever seen). I met one of the canidates. She spent time in Brooklyn as I did, she has a lot of support in my neighborhood, let's see if the rest of the town does as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:04pm

Well it all starts at the local level - or so they say.

Thanks, antiparticle, I will practice in front of a mirror next time (although I never actually understood how that was supposed to help).

I assume it only works if you have someone to compare your mouth movements to... I suppose you'll just have to find a native speaker for every featured language, that's not too much to ask is it? ;)
Avatar 6:47pm

This Agua E'Nieve is adorable. And with that, I'm off to work. Thanks again & buenas noches :)
