  9:50am choggie:

i water my plants like 3 times a day.....I figure, they are like dogs or cats but only last a year so you gotta be extra-special nice to em'....since they're gonna die sooon while you eat off 'em and what-not

Plants live a thousand lifetimes in a matter of months....their job is to replicate DNA and survive. It's their JERB!
Avatar 9:58am annie:

all the plants i have are destined to become short and squat, all bonsai. i just bought some sapling plants: Japanese black pine, two different oaks, a cluster of 3 crape myrtle, a trio of redbud; and i already have a nice jade, a chinese privet in a small glass dish, a sad upright fushia(sp), .... and i gave away all the plants that MUST have sun. the window these are in faces northwest.. a grow-light is in order
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59am queems:

@annie my mom just got a couple small clip-on grow lights and so far she loves them
  10:03am monk:

good morning Dad if you're reading this
Avatar 10:04am annie:

hhmm. i'll have to see what's out there, i bet a nice selection. those of you who know me on FB will see the pics..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08am melinda:

That sounds like a cool project Annie, looking forward to the pics. My common areas don't get the sun I would need for some of the plants I want, so I'm growing more pothos (or as I learned from one site "Devil's Ivy").

  10:23am exile-on-hicks-st:

@Lix Life Last.fm has changed a bit - they used to stream music, but now stream via Spotify. It seems that it’s a layer for people who are into ‘data’ about their mainstream music-listening habits. I don’t get the sense that the typical ‘FMU’er is the target demographic.
  10:26am exile-on-hicks-st:

E.g- they have a “music discovery” tool that lets you dial two circles of a venn diagram the dials cycle thru common genres and periods of time. If you put something like ‘1940’s’ and ‘electronic’ together there are zero results and you’re told you are ahead of your time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28am Henry in Hopatcong:

Sad to hear about Buell. There was a fantastic recording with Taylor and Archie Shepp from the early sixties. Can't remember the name.
