Wheezer joined the Air Force after leaving the series. I was surprised to learn of his early death at age 20. He was killed in a mid-air collision during a training flight in May of 1945.

I read that they went through several Peteys over the years of the Little Rascals / Our Gang comedies. Sometimes eye ring on the left, sometimes on the right.

Bobby Hutchins was not the youngest member of the Our Gang series to die young that's goes out to Billy Laughlin who play Froggy. He die at age 16 from a moter scooter accident.
