Baseball travels time of year. Saw the Storks get stomped in The Hague. Visited the birthplace of Sir Didi in Amsterdam. Somehow still missing starts this year by Hall of Famer Max S. 4 miles away.

Jerry Maren (and two surviving Munchkins) last attended the 2010 Oz-Stravaganza in L. Frank Baum's birthplace, Chittenango NY. Caren Marsh, who was Garland's stand-in for "The Wizard of Oz," is believed to be one of the last cast members still alive today.

Inventor Brannock's father owned a Syracuse shoe store. In 1933 a United States Navy captain asked a shoe salesman to find the source of many sailors' foot problems. The salesman, after measuring sailors' feet with the Brannock foot measuring device, declared that the Navy shoe was not the cause of the problem; the sailors were simply wearing the wrong size shoes. The captain was so happy that he would not have to order special shoes for his men
