I've made several field recordings over the last few months but my computer didn't recognize my recorder when i plugged it in, so I've got some technical crap to work out. Love train sounds.
Well, technically, you'd need coordinates to triangulate sonic spaces or at least have each recording be recorded in close proximity and temporally to do it properly...
Just making up the idea that I could visualize a space based on a recording of it, then perhaps locate things in that space or compare two spaces. Flights of fancy :)
needs more bats w/ Bats... (see bats every dusk, just not as many as when I was kid. But the uni put up quite a few bat houses to up their numbers [keep eating mosquitos you chiropterans!]
Just had lox w/ fresh dill, basil, julieta tomatoes from my garden on havarti on crackers w/ an occasional surprise sliver of habanero w/ pink salt and crushed pepper.....
I went outside for my evening walk and ended up talking to my neighbor about their first winter in a Florida retirement community. It sounded like party central for 60+ folks.
Wow. They probably don't advertise the STD stats in promotional materials. My neighbor was impressed by the level of community/friendliness/activities, but I can't imagine finding my niche or people in a retirement community even if I were the right age. Yet finding community in the regular world is a definite challenge.
Just do a search of STDs and The Villages, FL, and it'll come up. Instead of bike lanes, they have golf cart lanes (mostly so they can avoid serious DUI infractions). It's about 50 miles south of me.
She mentioned the golf carts. Gainesville sounds like a good town. Planned and intentional communities have their benefits but also serious limitations, whether it's a retirement village or a back-to-the-land compound.
The moral of the story is, melinda, tell your friends to use protection, especially at swinger parties (although I believe said rate also is contributed by the fact of lonely widows, widowers, and divorcees.).
