Civil Service, I worked for the City of NYC in multiple departments and it paid shit. By the the time I left they were going to subcontracting only so they wouldn't have to pay benefits (although the pay was better that time).

FWIW, I know some people who have made bank off of NYC civil service and they are honestly scummy. And I have met people who have tried to go the civil service work when said scummy people made it impossible for them to work in NYC civil service. It’s the same territorial B.S. but with a larger payoff.

I have struggled with whether to Oxford comma or not. I saw the best illustration of why and how it works. It was a trump meme. I don't know if I recall it exactly, but it really worked.
