Nice odd Prunes cover!
Avatar 9:05pm TDK60:

Spooky psych forever. I actually did have too much to dream last night, a rare nightmare that I woke myself out of at 4:30 AM.
Avatar 9:05pm lisa:

The Space Lady! A Berkeley/San Francisco institution!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:08pm Tome:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10pm maestroso:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:12pm coelacanth∅:

hello Jonathan and others
Avatar 9:17pm TDK60:

  9:19pm Jonathan:

Hey all! Excited to be here with you tonight.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:21pm chresti:

The only part of last night's dream I remember is a large cat sitting upright, human style, in an armchair,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm chresti:

  9:23pm Jonathan:

My cat has been in that exact pose. Its freaky.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24pm maestroso:

Man, I'd love to find the sheet music for this! It would be devilishly fun to play (or try to play)
Avatar 9:24pm TDK60:

Mine was, being asked to donate blood to some poor folks by a street portrait artist and gang. I was ok with it but then was imprisoned in a dark basement, told I'd be locked up for 48 hours. No! So I created a window, escaped, and woke.
  9:25pm Jonathan:

You can preview and buy the score here seems like: michaelgordonmusic.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25pm maestroso:

Vicky Chow is amazing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28pm maestroso:

Thanks Jonathan! This piece is amazing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29pm maestroso:

Did I say "amazing" enough? OK I'm done.
Avatar 9:29pm Lopez:

Whoa! This piece is blowing my mind.
  9:31pm Jonathan:

Every time I feel like I have a handle on this piece it transforms into something even more crazy and complex.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:34pm coelacanth∅:

ahhhhh . . . .
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:34pm chresti:

I always wake myself up when it gets too frightening
Avatar 9:35pm Joel St. Germain:

Wonderful show. Always happy to have you on the air Jonathan
  9:37pm Jonathan:

Thanks Joel SEE YOU SOON!!!
Avatar 9:39pm TDK60:

...interesting, I have more control, often, in dreams now; when younger, not so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:41pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Jonathan. I'm pretty sure I remember Marty McSorley saying he wanted to have you play "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying" from Megadeth. If you could find somewhere to put that, that would be great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:41pm coelacanth∅:

i often realise i'm dreaming when i'm dreaming but still rarely can take control of it without awakening. i'm a light sleeper so i think it makes sense.
Avatar 9:42pm TDK60:

The prior piano piece was devilish yet Just. // This sounds influenced by gamelan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48pm coelacanth∅:

last night i awoke just because i was about to get on a platform for a subway without knowing what trains or buses would get me home. i wasn't worried. i somehow never learn the system but wing it and i always get home, but someone i slightly know was there and we apparently lived together. he/she insisted on helping me and i was torn between taking the directions and doing it how i always do it.
...but that minor dilemma woke me up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52pm chresti:

you start thinking about it to resolve it- that could wake me up
Avatar 9:53pm TDK60:

Tonight I hope I don't dream I'm in 1947 and everyone smokes Lucky Strikes or Camels.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:55pm chresti:

I like it when I hear someone talking in his or her sleep(unless it wakes me up)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm chresti:

I have smoking dreams, mostly driving or being in a large space/house/garden with a lot going on with many people dreams or movie format dreams with a soundtrack.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:02pm chresti:

enjoying this show, Jonathan!
Avatar 10:06pm TDK60:

It seems the agriculture god Azacca of Haiti is hard-pressed these days. And needs human help too.
  10:09pm Jonathan:

Thanks Chresti!!
Avatar 10:17pm TDK60:

Yes, enjoying the show while filing papers, taking notes; wish I could dance or jump.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:18pm chresti:

no hopping desk, yet?
Avatar 10:19pm TDK60:

..well, I'm squirming in my seat at least..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm Tome:

got the bongos out the close just starring at them . for now anyway ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22pm coelacanth∅:

TDK @9.53 i hope i DO dream that. war's over, people getting happier...and maybe i'll see my lucky strike/camel/ pall mall (all filterless) smoking grandma.
Avatar 10:23pm TDK60:

well, there ya go coel --have that one and dream well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25pm coelacanth∅:

chresti @9.55 i've directed others' dreams several times by entering into their aural environment. if they're speaking out load they're open to it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27pm coelacanth∅:

...or maybe vulnerable to it is more accurate; but i've never caused someone else's dream to turn sour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30pm chresti:

I have never tried talking. only kicking
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm chresti:

or friendly patting
  10:36pm Jonathan:

Ever try the hand-in-warm-water trick?
  10:36pm sufferwords:

bug out
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38pm chresti:

Heavens no!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42pm coelacanth∅:

yes just a friendly kick!
...i don't know that i ever have done anything besides becoming part of their dreams. in some way. even if it's making some sound from across the room. i once pushed an electric can opener in the kitchen, which was next to my bedroom, and softly called for a dog (we didn't have a dog) to come eat. she said something like "when did he get here".
Avatar 10:43pm TDK60:

Ah, I've met Michael Stirling, raga singer. Fine fellow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43pm coelacanth∅:

Jonathan my friends did that to another friend a few times after other friend passed out drunk. it never worked, as far as i know. (which i'm glad about)
Avatar 11:18pm TDK60:

'75. At first thought it was 1950s tape music.
Avatar 11:21pm TDK60:

It's 1975 tape music, right?
  11:23pm Jonathan:

Not sure if tape is utilized in this one specifically, I think its just him whistling into a microphone, but on this album, definitely.
Avatar 11:25pm TDK60:

Recorded onto tape at least, heh.
  11:32pm Jonathan:

Now this is a tape-heavy zone.
Avatar 11:33pm TDK60:

Tape heavy zone - scientific musicians in white lab coats, notepads.
Avatar 11:37pm TDK60:

Well, it's been a full sonic menu tonight, DJ JW. Soon I'll move to horizontal furniture. Maybe I'll dream I'm a roadie for The Electric Prunes in '66 L.A. Guys in Mod-cum-hippy corduroy jackets, long hair, boots; women in paisley skirts, beads. The club owner won't mind if we puff some reefers out back. Sounds like a comforting dream...
  11:40pm Jonathan:

After all this talk about dreams, its only fair to want to go experience. Thanks for listening TDK
  11:45pm sufferwords:

  11:46pm Marcel M:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55pm Ken From Hyde Park:

  11:58pm Jonathan:

Thanks everyone, see you next time!
