RIP Lorrie, always sing beautifully and being graceful even as her little brother invents the pogo: twitter.com...

ha ha great vid - she's got a sweet fleetwood and a pool table and a perm and lots of rekkids on the wall. THAT was the goal back then.

I’m liking “Ski King” but I think he might be a “Lake King.”

Matt Fiveash:

Cordell Jackson was on MTV once, backed by Miriam and Marcus the Carcass from the A-Bones. I think there's a clip on youtoob...
As I recall there was some interest in her at the time because she had appeared in a beer commercial? This was maybe late 80's/early 90's...

ultradamno:

I remember hearing a story (her account, I believe) about Cordell meeting Tav Falco and him telling her about covering "She's The One That's Got It" and telling her he played new wave and her responding "Son, that's about the oldest wave there is" or words to that effect

just discovered the collins kids. For starters. Larrys double-neck might be the coolest guitar ever

Becky:

@andrewb Dive in. You won't be disappointed.

Bry Guy:

What does the "R.F.D." stand for in the title of that Waylon tune? Feel like I'm missing something obvious here...
  8:39pm
P-90:

Thanks for the Lorrie Collins tribute...
When I first read about Lorrie's passing on Deke Dickerson's Facebook page, I thought: Becky will probably play some Collins records on her show. I love how I can count on FMU, for keeping me plugged into so many things in one place.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43pm
Becky:

@Bry Guy - I actually have no idea.

Snortley:

RFD = Rural Free Delivery, I believe.
  8:46pm
P-90:

RFD: rural free delivery, a US Post Office program to provide postage-free delivery to rural areas. If you were mailing to an eligible area, you would write "RFD" on the envelope instead of attaching a stamp. Essentially subsidized mail delivery for country foks.

Grest show as always B
