Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14pm
ultradamno:

Here's The Collins Kids doing Kaw Liga with a poorly dated ending: youtu.be...
  8:14pm
JakeGould:

Is this a message song?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15pm
dale:

was it that long already? (sigh)
  8:15pm
JakeGould:

R.I.P. a Kennedy (right?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm
dale:

this coachmen is pretty awesome. hits all the cliches, musical and lyrical.
  8:17pm
JakeGould:

  8:25pm
JakeGould:

Dark-ish tracks tonight. But that’s fine!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26pm
Becky:

Listener Robert:

Are we even sure that Coachmen song was about a historic event, rather than a hypothetic or fictional one?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm
listener 126464:

Holdfast Records in AP?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm
Becky:

@Robert We are sure of nothing.
  8:50pm
JakeGould:

THE Tex Rabinowitz from Midwood?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm
Becky:

You called it!
  8:51pm
lothianman:

Tex !!! I'm a DC guy (love this show) and Tex goes way back. Actually he just released a new album. Check out "Bad Boy" and "Hot Rod Man" from the old tex days.
  8:53pm
lothianman:

i believe the guitar solo on that cut was Billy Hancock, another awesome rockabilly guy who recently passed away
  8:54pm
Listener Robert:

I'm reading now that The Coachmen were organized in 1965, so your "1956" must've been a transposition. Then it could've been JFK & someone else as JakeGould guessed.
  8:54pm
lothianman:

you are way ahead of me Becky
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm
Becky:

Huh - Robert, that's what the Eisenhower library has listed, but I guess they're wrong!
  8:57pm
lothianman:

Tex also used to hit the dives back in the 80s with the "Bad Boys" which included Eddie Angel who is currently in Los Straitjackets and is totally amazing if you get the chance to see them
  8:59pm
JakeGould:

Whatever… Enjoyed the subtle dark feels tonight, Becky. Good show!
  8:59pm
Dan from Delco:

Excellent tunes!
  9:01pm
Listener Robert:

I kind of liked my fantasy that that Coachmen song was about the fictional blowing up of an entire town or city, because of one lyric in there that seemed to suggest so.
  9:34pm
JakeGould:

Actually, to counter my snark I dug up this article on Tex Rubinowitz here. Really nice guy it seems! www.washingtonpost.com...
  11:25pm
Eric:

Trying to find out more about 'Stan Jr.' (and that doggone country-club church of his!). Do you know anything more about the label? Where from and around what year? Thanks!
