bunny, i wasn't even here yet and you're blowing my cover? expect to hear from my lawyer
I do dig this Whitney! yaye!
brain so fatigued (my meds give me more insomnia then usual), I wouldn't mind some devil's dust (I'll just take a nap after work instead).
Off to lunch, see y'all in a bit!
Hello djSheilaB,happy Friday everyone we made it to the end of another one :)
...actually being clean for a while kills you when you don't have the tolerance for the same dose anymore...
Watching 'Little Girl Blue' on AmericanMasters...it's too much for me almost. Too close to home personally for me - to be a Creative type who never will feel validated or socially complete nonetheless. To be totally frank.
Harm Reduction works - Prohibition does not. These are the plain, demonstrable facts.
As for Race - the PrisonIndustrial Complex is the new Jim Crow - no question. & now - White people will be invested in to grow cannabis by the same establishment! BilieHoliday was killed by Hoover's drug nazis.
To be a Class A drug - the Law is it cannot have *any* positive Medical benefit. Putting cannabis in this category is increasingly contradictory.

Can't feel anything, when will I learn
I push it down, push it down
I'm the one "for a good time call"
Phone's blowin' up, they're ringin' my doorbell
I feel the love, feel the love
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
Throw ‘em back, till I lose count
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist
Like it doesn't exist
I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
And I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Help me, I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight

...but - SandyDenny...
...Following the observations of Terrence McKenna (...more or less): One Culture handed me some off-brand grape juice & a saltine cracker, w/ no explication - & tried to sell me on that as the Sacrament...& the other Culture handed me a quadruple dose (or so) of LSD as a party drug when I was still basically adolescent...
It ain’t pretty. And do you know enough about “anti-depressants” to lump them in with other addictive substances?Love the music, but, heck, Sheila.
Karen Dalton!
And great show all around
My health condition is due to Murphy's Law happening all at once. (wife lost job, got cancer, I was freelancing, no insurance, it nearly bankrupted us. so I took a job in FL away from her.) I
But people who are working class are more of risk to get injured, more of a risk to want a quick fix so they don’t become bankrupt and more of a risk to then be exposed to drugs that will make them addicts.
Now in 2018 I finally have a real job, real benefits, real vacation time and some security. This job market stinks and only gets worse.
Improve basic healthcare.
Provide safe injection sites/programs for heroin junkies.
Put more women in power.
Throw Louis C.K. feet first into a tree shredder.
These are only my opinions. Don’t @ me.
The Carpenters, love for Karen!
Drugs do work, until they don’t work anymore.
The opposite of addiction is definitely connection.
‘I get drunk. We recover’
All good sad addiction songs
I’ve known people who can’t see movies unless they are high or drunk. Ditto with bands. And honestly, I am not 19 anymore so why do I have to do that to enjoy something?
Sometimes for some people it’s just hard to say, “I like something because I like it…” and without some social lubricant involved.
I also don't like smoking weed anymore, it shuts down all critical thinking. In retrospect that makes so much sense that I started to believe all kinds of stupid theories when in my stoner days.
I avoid drugs as much as I can. But I'm for decriminalizing all drug use and for legalizing and regulating many recreational drugs, since I pretty much agree with the argument that the current war on drugs has failed. Personally though, drugs are not a solution to me. Drug abuse is an indicator that someone is coping with certain situations in an unhealthy manner.
