I've ridden coach to LA entirely too many times. And I have long legs.

Was Norm a house painter later on?

The Woody/Kelly arc is a classic, I think.

Yes, norm took up house panting and also interior decorating.

I barely remember Cheers, but used to watch Coach as a kid....

To me, the whole point of the show was the frustrating, ridiculous romance of Sam and Diane, so once that ran its course, I thought the show was over.

Joe, I think the supporting cast of Cheers really came to the fore post Sam and Diana, and it became a true ensemble show. Then you have your Liliths, Eddie Lebecs, and Robin Colcords...so many great characters even beyond the core.

Aw, great tune, Joe. I wonder if anyone has ever done a vocalese version of "Jessica."

This is an edited version, I think. The album cut is over seven minutes long. The piano solo is a release after a big build in the album track.

I'm actually not positive I've ever seen a complete episode of Cheers, but it's so permeated into pop culture that I feel like I know all the characters and their general arcs. I wouldn't be averse to diving in, but it feels daunting. I'm already trying to make my way through Dark Shadows as it is.

In the strange thread of artists' other musical interests, DMC of Run DMC is a huge Sarah McLachlan fan and would annoy everyone in his entourage by always having her music playing before and on the way to shows.
