Hey TDK60, fingers crossed for you.
Hi βrian, I just turned it up a little, try to keep it a little on the low side in general but yeah this one is particularly sparse at the start
i was just generally referring to your racket, neighbor, I understand the need for deep listening, especially in the early sections
speaking of Deep Listening, Pauline Oliveros died two years ago this week. Someone on another playlist posted a video if her talking about Deep Listening (was that you TDK60?): www.youtube.com...
"The interpretation of sound waves is subject to time delays. Sometimes what is heard is interpreted anywhere from milliseconds to many years later or never."
That reminds me of the image of a roulette ball rolling around, seemingly indefintely, before it finally drops — or doesn't. That might be more the case with spoken word, though.
I finished that sooo long ago- maybe I will get more soon, i am guessing they will have another release but don't really know - i helped make pies for the pie fest this year, but have mostly been out of touch
@david/Brian - waiting for the day when they permit leaf burning again. That is one smell of autumn forever banished in this Brave New World of ours....
@david - - It has been banned for probably 40 years around here. I was going to burn some a couple weeks back - risk the fine - just for nostalgia's sake...
I find when I'm in the suburbs at my bros' or parents' it seems noiser then NYC (except for jackhammer day), w/ everyone's obsession w/ keeping manicured lawns and starting said work at the crack of dawn....
βrian: I know not. Maybe Basinsky (& other musicians) can write with noise around. Your other question is too weighty for me: I just wanna rock...or listen to ambient..heh.
I've got some of the tinnitus, not severe...hoping/theorizing it's just related to something with nerves linked to teeth. Take care of one issue someday, maybe the other goes away, hey? Keeping my ears crossed that it's not permanent.
