	3:55pm TDK60: I visited southwest England last summer. I heard a vacationing family speaking Welsh; maybe Cornish, but probably Welsh as Cornish is much rarer.

	♥ 4:02pm fred: @ngh: There's a soup place near my workplace where people choose the level of heat on a scale of 0 to 5. I've never been there (I don't eat lunch) but I've yet to hear of anyone finishing the level 5

	4:11pm northguineahills: @fred: I've made soups spicier before, to where I'm leaking fluid from every orifice in my face, and my tinnitus comes back, as I sweat so much it looks like I went for a run. That's about my limit, and not something I need to repeat. When I go to Indian/SE Asian restaurants, I ask for it Indian/Thai hot, and am still usually disappointed.
	♥ 4:11pm Stanley: TDK60 - I passed a school in Edinburgh recently, just as the kids were coming out and they were excitedly speaking Gaelic with each other. Of course, it was a Gaelic school.

EPA was gutted this year, and last week the new FL governor's budget was released and slashed the state parks and reallotted the FL DEP budget to focus more on drinking and waste water, and getting rid of red tide (since that's what the rich constituents want). 90% of our budget was from gov't sources, at all levels.

	5:12pm northguineahills: There are probably as many jobs in my field here as there was in NYC, but half of them here are environmental, so, they're probably in the same boat we're in.

	5:18pm northguineahills: Well, it cost me $2K to move mostly just recs and books from NYC, and I can't see any other town in FL other then St Augustine or Key West I'd live in willingly.... (besides the one I'm in).

	5:34pm northguineahills: Most jobs I've worked in the past from home were only for projects lasting a few weeks to a month or so, so I was looking for work as often as I was working. Working from home also gives me cabin fever (you should have see when my wife were both working from home side by side, we nearly killed each other w/in a week [don't have that problem now])

That's about my limit, and not something I need to repeat. When I go to Indian/SE Asian restaurants, I ask for it Indian/Thai hot, and am still usually disappointed.

EPA was gutted this year, and last week the new FL governor's budget was released and slashed the state parks and reallotted the FL DEP budget to focus more on drinking and waste water, and getting rid of red tide (since that's what the rich constituents want). 90% of our budget was from gov't sources, at all levels.

Working from home also gives me cabin fever (you should have see when my wife were both working from home side by side, we nearly killed each other w/in a week [don't have that problem now])
