	♥ 5:08pm Stanley: I missed Black Uhuru's Red. Talking of which (alert: Tales of when I was younger man), that and Catch a Fire were the two cassettes that survived my 15 month trip around Africa.

	♥ 5:14pm David D: I just checked and there are in fact no fill-ins scheduled for any WFMU stream for the next seven days.
	♥ 5:17pm Stanley: 3 months in Egypt, 6 months in Sudan, 3 months Uganda/Kenya and 3 in Greece (resting). I crossed the Sahara overland 3 times (1982-83 - I was 22-23 years old)
	♥ 5:19pm David D: Sounds amazing, Stanley - I guess you got to know the Nile well.

	♥ 5:22pm Sem: Catch a Fire. How great an idea. Loved that one, my introduction to Marley.
	♥ 5:27pm Stanley: Mainly on trucks but a few trains and a Nile steamer. Spent a fair of time in Egypt, picking up some Arabic then headed South, turned West at Khatoum and headed out to Darfur then the rains came which made further travel South impossible so retraced my route back to Egypt then a ship to Greece for some rest and replenished the purse by orange picking then, back down again this time to Southern Sudan, Uganda and Kenya. Ended up on an island in the Indian Ocean where my money ran out so had to get my father to wire me the fare to get home.

	♥ 5:53pm Stanley: You are right, Michael, so I suppose it was kind of special. But now that we are in/heading into our sixties, the ol' grey matter ain't what it used to be. I'll never forget that I was ill a lot of the time. This was before the days of bottled water, which every tourist seems to clutch wherever they go nowadays.

Spent a fair of time in Egypt, picking up some Arabic then headed South, turned West at Khatoum and headed out to Darfur then the rains came which made further travel South impossible so retraced my route back to Egypt then a ship to Greece for some rest and replenished the purse by orange picking then, back down again this time to Southern Sudan, Uganda and Kenya. Ended up on an island in the Indian Ocean where my money ran out so had to get my father to wire me the fare to get home.
