I humbly apologize.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:03pm

I could and should do a whole Industrials show with all the submissions collected here from friends, like you Henry!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm
Webhamster Henry:

Yes, the Pre-marathon mailing is out - so if you want to get in early or are a swag-for-lifer, you can keep track of the Marathon!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm
Webhamster Henry:

I think due to the great purge of 2010, I'm down to maybe 3 Industrials now. Unless there's a box of LPs I'm unaware of somewhere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm
Webhamster Henry:

But, chat list friends, there are plenty of industrial tracks still available from Beware Of The Blog!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm

Just received the physical marathon printout in the mail today. Now need to pledge myself and get that new T-Shirt!

Germaine:

Hi!! I'm listenin'
also, I was curious:
"pot-pourri, 1610s, "mixed meats served in a stew," from French pot pourri "stew," literally "rotten pot" "
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm
Rich in Washington:

@Webmaster Henry: the coffee talk at UM's show was what prompted me to crank out some really strong coffee today.

Otis Fodder:

Hi Germ! Ha, rotten pot!
Avatar 3:17pm
Don-O:

Ah, I JUST missed the Knives & Spoons. Looks like I'll have to listen to that part later.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm
Rich in Washington:

I had read about something like that recently - that stews were derived from a custom of having this pot at a constant simmer over a fire for many days on end, with things constantly being added to them as it's being eaten over time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm
chresti:

Great- High school cafeteria band
This one too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm
Rich in Washington:

I used to sort of cook/eat like that when I was a bachelor - only putting the pot in the fridge when not actively eating/cooking it.
Avatar 3:20pm
Mr Fab:

Yo Don-O, i think the Rhapsody for Knives, Forks and Spoons was posted as part of Otis' 365 Project, so hopefully the link is still good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm
chresti:

We still eat like that. Pots stay in the fridge for months.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm
Otis Fodder:

@Rich - That is my scene these days. Bachelor life, cooking for one.
Avatar 3:21pm

as of recent years, Marlin Wallace aka The Corrilions was still recording. Was in correspondence with his assistant, who sent me some CDs for my old blog.

Avatar 3:46pm
Mr Fab:

gadzooks, the Raymond Scott Songbook set is selling for a whopping $62 on Amazon. Any American labels want to pick this one up, pretty pleeze?
Avatar 3:49pm
Don-O:

That FT "boxless set" covers their live output from 1979 to 1982 and is 7 hours long. Only on Bandcamp. While i was picking up the Dr. D Punk set at the local record store, I told the cashier about the set, he was very happy! Then I told him you can only get it as a download, he became unhappy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm
Otis Fodder:

@Don-O - Vegas Show on YouTube for you, www.youtube.com...
Avatar 3:51pm
Don-O:

Oh! Thanks Otis! Bookmarked for future Vegas use.
Avatar 3:52pm
Don-O:

Per-taining Ta!
Avatar 3:53pm
AdamOooh:

Mr. Fab, I have been holding off on that set despite being a small part of it. I can say that it was an interesting project in that all the artists seem to have been funded well enough to pay for studio musicians and al, not sure whether there was financial backing from an actual label, but the high price is probably an honest one considering the limited market for such a product.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm
Otis Fodder:

@Fab - AdamOooh played Alto Sax on a Kid Koala cut on the 2-CD Scott comp. It's a crazy labor-of-love deluxe package.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm
Otis Fodder:

I find J&H is soothing, with eyes closed. Pertaining to, AMSR.
Avatar 3:57pm
Mr Fab:

Oh, i don't deny it's worth every penny. But if it is a Japanese release, those import costs drive up the price. Some American distribution would help alleviate a bit of that.

Otis played that track couple weeks ago, great stuff AdamOooh!
Avatar 3:57pm
Don-O:

TA!
Avatar 4:05pm
Don-O:

Is he done?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm
Otis Fodder:

He is done, taking a nap.
Avatar 4:07pm
Don-O:

I hope he doesn't talk in his sleep and set up another tour....or something.
Avatar 4:10pm
Mr Fab:

I wonder if he's still waiting for a "respond." Pertaining to, Otis just playing his tape.
Avatar 4:16pm
Mr Fab:

Oh man, i had this flexi from Grand Royal magazine! Holy cannoli, I forgot all about this, Hope I still have it.
Avatar 4:17pm
Don-O:

One hell of a magazine. I think I still have the Moog issue.
Avatar 4:18pm
Don-O:

I'm still laughing at "My Daughter The Broad" album title.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm
Otis Fodder:

I want the issues again, had them all in the 1990s. Moving and purging. Kept this flexi though, love it so much.
Avatar 4:18pm
Mr Fab:

I think I still have most of the issues. Was just flipping thru that new massive ($50) Beastie Boys autobiography. Looks pretty essential.

Picked up the BB Book, so very good.

excellent track, but still a bit disappointed that "Strip Poker at Caesar's Palace" was an instrumental. Would love to hear some lounge crooner have a go at that topic
