I just had a funny thought, what if I used my infamous text to speech software to call into tectonic, and asked when the robot uprising will be?
Avatar 7:11pm Dan Bodah:

@aaron, a++++
Swag For Life Member 7:11pm bleubombersune:

Bonsoir DB# 1. A good day 4 throat twisting
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm chresti:

Quitting your rowdy ways, move to a monastery, where you learn to fry your vocal
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm Richard S:

I've got Jim Beam, a few drops of Angostura bitters, and about 1/2 tsp of real maple syrup.
Avatar 7:13pm Dan Bodah:

@BB, welcome friend
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm chresti:

I love text to speech, always cracks me up @Aaron
Avatar 7:17pm northguineahills:

@aaron: Oh please, oh please, oh please, oh please (you could do a whole theme, I'm sure mark would be down w/ some comedy....)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm chresti:

I'm pretty sure you would do great harm to yourself drinking turpentine
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm dale:

richard s. i made something like that once, old overholt rye, apple cider and bitters. saw it in he nytimes so it had to be good.
Avatar 7:18pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Or just have Clay's friend Sam call in.
Avatar 7:18pm northguineahills:

next on vocal fry, aaron sings the greatest autotuned hits w/o autotuned....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm Richard S:

@dale: Seems the basic recipe is Brown liquor (whiskey, bourbon, rye), natural sweetener, bitters. It's fun trying out new variations!
Avatar 7:20pm northguineahills:

The capital of Kazakhstan has been renamed from Almaty to Nursultan after the current president (after the last 30 years).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm VincentNifigance:

Siberian Reggae. Where has THAT name been all my life?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22pm dale:

there was some other bourbon drink i made like that required a red hot poker from the woodstove be placed into it allowed to boil a bit. it was pretty good, but i think the poker was just theater.
Avatar 7:22pm northguineahills:

@Vincent: Sibir reggi?
Avatar 7:25pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Liquor in the front - poker...well - also...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm chresti:

My ex grandfather-in-law was in some kind of bootlegging racket, in the...30s, in Ark.
Avatar 7:27pm northguineahills:

The Han Chinese (and to some extent, the Japanese), have reduced the aboriginal Taiwanese inhabitants to just 2.3% of the population (it's been a change in the last millennium.
Avatar 7:28pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Does that relate to the Ainu, ngh?
  7:29pm Tom in Los Angeles:

i believe are from the Japanese archipelago no?
  7:29pm Tom in Los Angeles:

Avatar 7:30pm northguineahills:

Not really, Rev Rabbit, more related to the indigenous Filipinos. Not sure why I have Taiwan on the mind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

@7:18 northguineahills: i smell a marathon preium, either for vocal fry or techtonic!
Avatar 7:30pm northguineahills:

Going for a 7km speedwalk, will be back by the endish….
Avatar 7:33pm northguineahills:

The Ainu are probably more related to the far eastern Siberian tribes close to the Bering Strait, but they're rather genealogically unique....

@Tom: Originally Honshu and Hokkaido, but, now, only in the northern reaches of the latter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm Richard S:

Last I checked, the Ainu are the indigenous people of the Japanese Islands. When the people who are now Japanese moved in, they treated the Ainu like any other territorial 'invaders' treated the natives.

And I think they still do.....
Avatar 7:34pm Dan Bodah:

D'oh, the Ainu live in Japan not Taiwan as I said! I was considering playing a Bunun song from Taiwan but went for the Ainu song instead, but confused myself.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm Mr. Pumpy:

I'm digging this space ape porpoise telling me what to do with my life!
  7:36pm yippie:

i once heard someone say Thai people speak Taiwanese
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm Mr. Pumpy:

Hiss and Viscera...I was referring to. This would be more of a yodeler that swallowed a jaw harp complaining about his wife. Loving this too!
Avatar 7:38pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Sounds like a cross between throatsinger & auctioneer!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm dale:

wonder if there's a piss and vinegar out there....
  7:42pm Listener Robert:

Aaron, it's been a while since I've heard ANY phone calls on Techtonic. You might have to arrange it, but then Mr. Trololo will be in on the gag.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm chresti:
