I have class to teach, and my visa runs out, and my family wants to go on a vacation with me to SF since I was not able to go to germany with them last summer due to the research so I can
t stay here, and as NGH points out ther are issues here too, though, I at least everyone is fairly open and honest about what is going down in Turkey whereas people don't want to, or just can't recognize how deep America's decline was and is

@Cmurtha where are you at? My only exposure to Turkey was 10 days is Diyarbikir back in the days of the Kurds and Turks "disquiet". Armed guards at the front door of the hotel. And the radio sucked.

@Linda Lee, It's all possible to move away from USA but without job Visa or marriage/family connection it is not easy. Also much more closely monitored, folks up tight about 'foreigners' everywhere ( and Americans are foreigners except at home ) I've been in Finland 22 years. Everyday is an adventure ( when you don't understand every word that's spoken !) I like looking at USA from a distance

@Phillipe if you know Turkish Istanbul is a wonderful city, Ankara is also nice, though Ankara is "boring" so say most people, though it has all the stuff Istanbul has minus the historical stuff (though it does have that too), and its got parks and logical roads which Istanbul really does not have.
I am always mad my mother didn't get her nonsense I have relatives from Ireland irish citizenship locked in, because her not doing that prevents me from getting it easily.

@TDK60 I love New Orleans, but I'm in Annapolis. I adored my time in Paris, and really liked the Parisienne lifestyle. I walk to the market frequently for the day's groceries, used to drink a lot of wine with meals until I started abusing it. I even have a signed picture of Audrey Tautou in my office.

I think the next set of grading will be a majority of phone-ins. However, I always look forward to the genuine articles, of which there are bound to be more than long sets of grading make you expect.
