Martinibomb:

Hi Dee Ho Mr. Fab!
Avatar 7:04pm
Mr Fab:

Mrs Fab's a BeeGees fan, and pointed out this morn that they still dont't seem to have much hip credibility. They're still in public's mind for only 3 songs - the ones on the Saturday night Fever soundtrack.
  7:09pm
Martinibomb:

That's accurate I get tired of the same 3.. omfg so boring in movies.. same thing with rolling stones music used over and over
Avatar 7:13pm
Mr Fab:

"She said, "You're wearing two different colored socks." I said, "Yes, but to me they're the same because I go by thickness." - Steven Wright
  7:15pm
Martinibomb:

I have to remember that one

geezerette:

Swellegance, Mr. Bomb.

Mr Fab:

Ah, the pre-surf history of "Miserlou." Spacebrother said he's thinking of doing a whole Miserlou show.
Avatar 7:20pm

Martinibomb:

Yeh saw it here in the *pile* and was like this seems relevant
Avatar 7:20pm
Mr Fab:

Rich said it should be called "Miserlou Loves Company."
Avatar 7:21pm
geezerette:

Martinibomb, whadda set!
Avatar 7:22pm
Mr Fab:

Hey geezerette, thanks for reminding me of "swell-egant," a Cole Porter-invented word, I believe? And one that we should start spreading around.
Avatar 7:28pm
geezerette:

Ha ha! Yes, Mr. Fab, I love Cole Porter, and forties slang is so much fun to use. Watched a lot of Noir this summer and now my husband and I enjoy snappy, rapid fire wisecracking. (And cheese.)
Avatar 7:30pm
geezerette:

DJ MB, thanks for shout out!

Avatar 7:40pm

Record hiss? John Peel said he doesn't care if records have surface noise: "LIFE has surface noise."
