Over my dead body am I going to lose my pumpkin, Donald!

Chris Farrell:

Hello, I went to listen to polar bears sounds on YouTube in hopes their soothing purs would put me to sleep. The 10 hour polar bear noises set was mainly very loud roaring.
  9:28pm
Chris Farrell:

How do you go from Dionne Warwick to modern pop music? The pop music these days truly feels like it steal something from me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:34pm
Sam Segal:

If you want soothing purrs, nothing beats a cat, Chris! Get two!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:35pm
Sam Segal:

I hear you, Chris. Certainly not enough lush, well arranged string orchestrations in modern pop music, that's for sure.
  9:39pm
Chris Farrell:

I can name them Simon and Jasper ;)
Avatar 9:41pm
ToTetsu:

Got here at a good (for me) time. Hey all!

Chris Farrell:

I’m busted trying to win Ben Stein’s money
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27pm
doctorjazz:

Speaking of arrangements (as you did earlier), what a great arrangement of what's essentially basic blues (Bird Feathers)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28pm
Sam Segal:

No kidding, Doc! Gil Evans can mine the deep complexity of any composition.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:31pm
Sam Segal:

Chris, you should write a song called, "(Busted) Trying to Win Ben Stein's Money"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm
doctorjazz:

And this is a John Lewis/MJQ classic, cool stuff! (Saw a later incarnation of the band many times when they had a regular Monday night gig at Sweet Basils in the Village, when they were playing Hendrix. Out was a great band!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36pm
Sam Segal:

Oh man, just heard about Gil's Hendrix album for the first time while researching for this show. Still haven't heard the album, but I am incredibly intrigued.
Avatar 10:36pm
ToTetsu:

nice transition you did there.
  10:37pm
Chris Farrell:

I can add it to my list of to dos (but nay never happen) (a horse pun)

The original comment was going to be about Bernie Mac’s movie Mr.3000 and a mix up I had between that movie and Mr.Wonderful (a character on shark tank) which ended in October 5th being Bernie Mac’s birthday..!

Then that transpired into me making a one liner about Ben Stein answering phones in a room being essentially what Google is.

Then I realized I am busted trying to win a Ben Steins money.. :/
:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38pm
Sam Segal:

Thanks, ToTetsu! I live for a good transition.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42pm
Sam Segal:

Clifford Brown on this number, I believe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42pm
doctorjazz:

Cool set!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42pm
Sam Segal:

This next one, I mean. Obviously this is currently Miles.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44pm
Sam Segal:

Oh wait, scratch that about Clifford Brown. I was looking at a different Helen Merrill release.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44pm
doctorjazz:

On Quiet Nights?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45pm
Sam Segal:

No I thought this was on Helen Merrill's s/t album, which does feature Clifford Brown.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45pm
doctorjazz:

Never mind..
  10:45pm
Dean:

That Clifford Brown record with Helen Merrill is ravishing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm
Sam Segal:

Ravishing indeed, Dean! Welcome!
  10:58pm
Chris Farrell:

In addition to the arrangement you had set up, are you also playing musicians who have the same names as political figures?

After typing this I realized I’m asking all the wrong questions. Are these politicians stealing musicians names??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00pm
Sam Segal:

David Axelrod of the Obama Administration is using a stage name. His real name is Gil Evans.
  11:01pm
Chris Farrell:

Lol

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:05pm

Coel! Pleasure to see you. Step right in.
  11:29pm
Chris Farrell:

Sam do they let you feed ducks at Central Park? I can also ask Ben Stein if you’re unsure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30pm
Sam Segal:

I think you could pull it off. I am not sure if they have any specific policies against it!
  11:31pm
Chris Farrell:

That’s a pass time I could get in to.
  11:33pm
Chris Farrell:

It’s 3-0 the Twins are losing to the Yankees, during the 7th inning stretch. Happy New Year everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37pm
Sam Segal:

Hahaha, I am sad the Twins are totally chocking in this series.
  11:39pm
Chris Farrell:

It happens. I feel like once Kirby Puckett started peeing in buckets they lost most of those good juju vibes that keep teams from choking.
