I play music that is old and that is new. Some of it is digital while some is analog. It is from many different countries; sometimes it is loud and at other times it is quiet.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm
Mark Hurst:

Hi Mayuko!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm
Ike:

I don't really get horror. I prefer comedy-horror like Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn which is absolutely hilarious. (You don't need to watch the first one -- one of the funniest things about it is that it remakes the first movie in its first 10 minutes and does it better!) But I also like psychological horror about relationships like what you're talking about. Sounds good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm
WR:

You've now really built up the Changeling. Will look for it now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm
Franco Twinkie:

What!?! Did someone say something about the Devil? I was busy outside polishing my shoes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm
fred:

@Ike: I remember seeing Evil Dead II when it came out. A friend an I started laughing at the Necronomicon/typewriter opening credits and basically never stopped. Evil Dead 3 is pretty funny too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm
ParUbi:

Only caught part of it-- you were talking about "the Changeling"? 1980?
Avatar 1:44pm
Mayuko:

Thanks for tuning in Mark!!!
Avatar 1:44pm
JosephB:

Speaking of horror movies, a favorite of mine is still Kiyoshi Kurosawa's "Pulse" (回路). There are some really spooky sounds and visuals in that one (he used Butoh dancers to play the ghosts). I've never seen a ghost, but I imagine they would appear pretty similar to how they are depicted in this film.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm
Ike:

As for languages, even just trying to learn a few basic words in Moroccan Arabic is absolutely stumping me. Tongue-tying! I wonder if I'd find Japanese as difficult.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm
chresti:

The Tenant, a Roman Polanski film, is nice and creepy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm
fred:

@JosephB: Pulse is one of the last movies I saw. I loved it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm

i wasn't scared of ghosts or spirits when i was little but was scared of monsters, especially monsters that take forms of everyday objects, or that don't take a definite form at all.

@fred It manages to be both scary and sad at the same time. @Mayuko "Communion" with Christopher Walken is all about alien abduction. Used to really scare me as a kid.
