martinibomb, it is a bit of a mixed blessing you should mention freeform portland were a bit like wfmu, this means I will give them a listen and sleep even less. - I mean Finland does have a seven to ten hour time difference with your US time zones and yes, I have found myself staying up until 7am with Daniel Blumin for instance. Greetings from a radio nerd/insomniac.

Brian Jonestown Massacre - perkele, I have not seen them live since May 2010 and even then it was just an hour since I missed my train and took the next one hoping the support act would take their time - they did not or BJM played an unusually short set(this did not happen I believe).

And the interesting thing about the alt-streams like this one, most DJs are not in the WFMU area (e.g.: most Sheena DJs are west coasters) so you get a number of local viewpoints. Apart from MB’s Portland artist shows, GeorgyGirl did a special on Brighton UK bands, I have a bead on SoCal acts I add to the stream, etc.
