Avatar 12:14pm Hubig Pie:

Does Public Image by Public Image ltd , on Public Image ltd , qualify as a trifecta ?
Avatar 12:15pm edelkakao cha cha:

Julie, yes, you can.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Julie:

I don't know, you may need a Ltd. in there to qualify
Avatar 12:25pm edelkakao cha cha:

hey hey, this is one of the songs where a recorder becomes an actual musical instrument instead of a simple annoyance, I just love this!!! What a great cover. JAPAN JAPAN JAPAN JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:27pm Julie:

woohoo!
Avatar 12:27pm edelkakao cha cha:

I remember I never got into Duran Duran early 80s, something about them annoyed me. And when I heard Quiet Life lp by Japan, I realised, OK this is where they stole all the good stuff from. Except Japan is a zillion times better. It is simple perfection.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:30pm Julie:

they are a band I'd definitely like to know better, and I usually enjoy his solo stuff.
Avatar 12:37pm edelkakao cha cha:

I like the earlier David Sylvian solo stuff, Blemish for instance is a bit too hard stuff for me. I really should get into the earlier Japan, but anything from Quiet Life to Tin Drum (well yes, there is only Gentlemen Take Polaroids plus a few singles between those two releases) is music you won't regret listening to.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, all. Charmander the DJ is from Japan, I presume?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:41pm listener james from westwood:

Hear hear for art.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:42pm Julie:

Hi Ken! Probably so.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Phillippe Bastille:

Perfect music for a crappy weather day. Fighting a bug, gonna crawl under the covers for a couple hours and listen
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:48pm Julie:

it's been a rough winter for people getting sick. I hope it passes soon.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:50pm Phillippe Bastille:

thanks. spending a couple days raking and picking up moldy leaves didn't help, that's for sure.
  12:51pm Mr Nobody:

I'm knocking on every bit of wood I can find. Lots of hand washing, allergy meds and nasal rinses. Gotta stay well.
  12:52pm Mr Nobody:

This isn't usually a good time of year for me.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:57pm Julie:

I got hit bad between thanksgiving and Xmas. hopefully I escape this next family visit unscathed.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Phillippe Bastille:

I'm usually snowbirding to the Redneck Riviera this time of year. Couldn't pull it off financially this year. Being by the water always helps the allergies and the sun helps the soul.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:59pm Julie:

for me, the sun is evil
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:00pm Julie:

my allergies were good in California, and for a couple of my sisters it was much worse.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:02pm listener james from westwood:

Ooh, love this Mediavolo!
  1:03pm Mr Nobody:

The sun? Shoot I swear I can get moon burn.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:03pm Julie:

hahaha REALLY White people problems
  1:04pm Mr Nobody:

I love the outdoors but I have to stay so covered. I wish I had more when I was younger. I finally saw a dermatologist and had a few spots burned and cut off last year.
  1:05pm Mr Nobody:

I feel darn near a few shades away from being albino. lol
  1:06pm spodiodi:

hi hi
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:07pm Julie:

hi there spodiodi!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Phillippe Bastille:

I gotta have sun in the winter. I have that seasonal affective disorder thing. I'm an independent consultant, and my work load can go way down in the winter because I don't feel like chasing work. I get more done when I head south because I feel better and the trip basically pays for itself that way -- I even came out ahead a couple years. The problem that arises is paying for the place up front. It's still off-season in PCB so it's really reasonable, just getting that cash together is the challenge.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Julie:

PCB?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:11pm Phillippe Bastille:

Panama City Beach.
  1:16pm Mr Nobody:

  2:34pm Funky16Corners:

Three hours of computer bullshit later, I'm ready to enjoy some music. Howdy!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:37pm Julie:

@Funky same! Hiya fleep!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:37pm Julie:

my first genesis was wind & wuthering, heard it a couple years before their big commercial album came out.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:46pm listener james from westwood:

Dig this brandy-new Boman!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Phillippe Bastille:

@listener james agreed!
Avatar 2:48pm edelkakao cha cha:

I need to check out odessa and from genesis to revelation thanks to your powerplay.
  2:49pm P-90:

Wind and Wuthering was the last “real” Genesis album before the turn to the pop/commercial style that succeeded so well in the 80s (starting with And Then There Were Three.) W and W is also notable because it’s the second album after Peter Gabriel left, and Genesis really surpassed all expectations by producing those two albums, with Phil Collins singing lead, arguably without any decline in quality despite Gabriel’s departure.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:50pm Julie:

Yeah W&W is amazing.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:50pm Julie:

thanks for listening everyone, stay tuned for Testify! Meghan will be in for me next week, so you get double Meghan!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Phillippe Bastille:

Thanks, Julie, and enjoy the week away from the console!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Julie, for keeping us safe and dark today.
  2:55pm P-90:

Still hoping for the long-gestating Kinks tour...
  2:55pm John from Florham park:

@Granny howdy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm chresti:

Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:56pm Julie:

see you in two weeks, be nice to Meghan!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Ken From Hyde Park:

As long as she mops up all the water after her show, it'll be fine.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:59pm Julie:

yes indeed!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:59pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):
