A three-hour exploration of excavations from the farthest reaches of humanity's hellish collective brain, through records, tapes, CDs, mostly scoured from country bumpkin thrift stores, creepy charity shops, backwoods junk stores, and even the internet - all mixed live. We don't judge, we just play 'em. Hosted by Rich in Washington.

I always found Throbbing Gristle to be a lot of unfocused noodling around, but Psychic TV got down to the business of writing proper tunes. Great stuff. (Would really love to hear "Orchids," actually?) Which is odd for me, because I usually prefer early noisy stuff to later commercial stuff, haha.

There's another version of "Roman P" that I really like, with a really cool drum pattern.
Avatar 7:30pm

@7:21 Mr Fab: I actually like the lack of proper tunes. Second Annual Report was rather influential - pretty much a new musical genre was born there - and due to its complete lack of melody nicely in complete contrast with United 7".

Yeah, I like a lot of dark ambient music. Maybe if I approach TG from that perspective, I might like them. I think it's just that as soon as I hear drum machines, I expect pop.

@7:31 DJ GeorgyGirl: it is completely Okay to feel sad about anything right now. To be honest, I am slowly but surely getting rather panicky about belonging to a certain risk group regarding the virus, especially knowing the statistical facts. I was not feeling like this earlier, but for whatever reason it has changed. And yet, I find it hilarious how I manage to become upset about the most meaningless of things. Gotta laugh now more than ever. Whatever mechanism there is to cope with this...
