When that Hollins Ferry album was out around 1977, I thought that track sounded a lot like the Steve Miller Band. I did not have much interested in the Mayland band, I was too busy listening to the Sex Pistols, The Damned, and Elvis Costello to care.

yes, i think this is the double LP my Mom got for me way back when!
isn't the most-recent JCS being re-broadcast again tonight? may watch a bit, Alice Cooper as Herod sounds like a hoot!
but, been pre-occupied with the Mourning Dove in the large flower pot on my fire escape (the one with the "bee attracting" wildflowers who have survived the Winter!)
there have been a pair of Mourning Doves hanging out there for the past week or so, & i was wondering, are they building a nest in there?!
just checked, & sure enough, there is one egg there!
(DEFINITELY going to drive the foster kitties totally nuts, especially once the babies hatch, hah!)
but right now -- i am scrambling around, researching ways to make sure they are protected -- heavy rains, thunderstorms, winds expected overnight, tomorrow -- ugh!

yes! the Mourning Doves' sounds are sooooo sweet and soothing!
when i was really little, my Mom taught me that they were the ones making those sounds (even if i could not see them) when i finally did see them, i fell in love, they are soooo pretty :)
@ Handy -- yes, that is what i have been reading, they like seeds! (perhaps why they ended up in the flower pot with the wildflowers? maybe some seed happened when it got real warm here??)
