but yeah, reading too -- finished "Such a Fun Age," now reading "The Hate U Give"
Avatar 6:08pm RobinSays:

Is this the Van Morrison Them with a different vocalist?
  6:09pm Therese:

We're having a telepathic thing going on. I was on the phone earlier with a friend, we were talking about buying certain records around early 1979 and Look Sharp by Joe Jackson was mentioned and moments later you played a song from it, and just now during the Neil Young song, I was thinking of Colin Blunstone and you played a song by him immediately. Very strange.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27pm listener 126464:

this nada surf album is pretty slamming

Pulp played 176 times on FMU since 2001, according to the playlist search. Guess that is not a lot relatively speaking. Six more than Blue, though

Blur
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30pm Aitch:

Pulp vastly deeper than Blur, as much as I like Mr Albarn, especially the Gorillaz stuff
Avatar 7:30pm slugluv1313:

@ JakeGould -- right?!?!
by the time testing came to this area (i am in Hoboken), i did not have enough symptoms (even though i was really sick in February -- had tried to get earlier clinic appts. -- and really REALLY sick in March) never mind that, like measles, often people do not have any symptoms
and yes i ALWAYS tip, no matter what -- i never worked as a waitress, bartender, etc. but knew enough people in high school and college who told me horror stories of awful customers who were also crappy tippers >:(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm Doobois:

This... Thank you, Therese. This week was full of layoffs and death, and this is just the needed ointment for a very battered soul. HOLLA SKELETON CREWWWWW!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35pm Therese:

Thanks, @Doobois. A dance party always makes me feel better, at least temporarily
  7:36pm Ef:

Hmm @Aitch.... Depends what you mean by deep I think. I'd say Blur went deeper in terms of musical experimentation but in terms of lyrics and vocal performance, yeah no question Pulp takes it. Disco 2000 is a heartwrenching song and a club banger at the same time. It's something else.
  7:36pm Jett:

Need Your Love - Tennis sounds a lot like It's Too Late - Carole King to me.
