Saw his first public outing in the early 90s, at the Mariposa Folk Festival, on a foot-high outside stage. Sat at his feet. He was scared shitless about playing, shaking like a leaf. He's fine now. Old and sober. But playing again.

They'd prefer to keep rights holders happy than find a middle ground. The bots should be able to distinguish between performance of a public domain work (for which a valid but thinner copyright exists) and the underlying work itself.
