A collection of odds and ends
too good to go unheard.
This amuses me for some reason

Music critic Richard Gehr featured him in the Dec. 1, 1985, issue of SPIN, including a color photo. Dude was large. A Jan. 23, 1988, review in Billboard of Water II: At Safe Distance reads:
Self-consciously obnoxious L.A.-based songwriter/composer dips heavily into the Zappa/Captain Beefheart bag instrumentally but maintains his own distinctively abrasive lyrical persona. Obscenity-laced vocals aren't airworthy, but instrumental tracks (including a cover of "Walk Don't Run"!) deserve alternative attention.

also, i recall quite a lot of fcc-prohibited phrases coming through my speakers in the 80s! especially Paul Cavenaugh's show and the Vanilla Bean's.

The final track is not actually by James Hill, btw. It's a piece someone else sent him, which is tacked on at the very end of side B, after a spoken intro. He does that on both tapes of his I have.
Anyway, thanks for loaning me your ears, everybody. Hope to see you next week!
