Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10pm jj.:

yeah, having this demo is kinda crazy, assuming it's dated correctly. i didn't realize how fully formed they were by then, before (i assume) "strictly personal" & "trout mask"

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10pm jj.:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12pm jj.:

the hampton grease band only had one album, "music to eat," from '71. except for this demo & a few live tapes, that's where they start & end.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:14pm Scott Williams:

goddamn, Col. Bruce was such a force of nature!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:15pm RMR:

Makato and some rare Col. Great show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:18pm RMR:

And by rare, I mean RARE rare.
Avatar 11:18pm Hams:

yeah, he later went on to do the aquarium rescue unit. not quite like this number, though. saw him once. my boss was at the show at the fox in atlanta where he had his last act. pretty wild hearing him tell the story.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20pm Rob (Jerzcity):

Imagine being so renowned-edly quirky that you can collapse of a heart attack on stage at your 70th birthday and the music just goes on with you laying face down
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20pm RMR:

Great segue into Jerry, Jesse.
  11:22pm Hocky Hairickson:

far out from grateful leadville!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:23pm Rory:

@Rob: no shit I play in a cover band with 70 te olds and that could happen. My life is a combo of the big Lebowski and Ramones song lyrics lol!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58pm McGroovey:

I think I saw the Arkestra twice. Once was at Town Hall.

Opening for someone else? Who? I can't recall. Setlist.com says they were there in 1990 and 1992 but it doesn't mention anyone else being on the bill. I dunno. I feel like it was later than that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59pm McGroovey:

Thanks fur thee good showwwuh
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00am McGroovey:

There seems to be a 1970 live Grease Band recording on YouTube. I haven't listened to it.
