@Wendy del Formggaio: not sure you saw this at the end of Julie's show last week, so I'm reposting here!

Do you have ANY idea how happy you made me when you cited the Joey Ramone unit (JRu) on the air on WAB last week? That made my WEEK! I am glad my humble contribution to science has gone mainstream!

I picked up some smoked gouda in your honor last week! And tripled my supply of pecorino romano so I can keep working on my cacio e pepe.

Thanks!

I didn't realize you invented the JRu! I had heard it from other sources, so consider yourself successful in improving scientific accessibility.

Smoked gouda melts real well. And hooray for cacio e pepe.

@Brian in UK: I had a few pairs of cardinals here, but they may be nesting further north as I haven't seen them in a few weeks. I also had a gang of goldfinches. And the gray catbirds are still around with their really cool songs. This yard is excellent for birds. Bushes and small trees, and then tall trees just behind the yard. The crows hang out in the tall trees.
