Oh wow! Chauncey Howell! There’s this Twitter thread about boring celebrity encounters and he’s one of them for me: I was a teen in the 1980s, walking down the boardwalk and listening to some tape on my Sanyo walkman knock off and I see the one and only Chauncy Howell, walking out of a public beach restroom on the beach around Coney Island Avenue and the boardwalk. Struggling to walk in the sand, and adjusting himself after doing his business.

Junior Brown used to play City Winery very often. His invented half steel guitar and regular guitar is called "guit steel". They are great songs. So it works.

Frank In Queens:

I'm old school veg, so Amy's California Burgers are still my fave. But I do enjoy the new generation of burgers too, with Beyond being my preference. Beyond Sausage was on sale this week, so we picked up a package of those even though Field Roast and Tofurkey are our preference.

We use Field Roast as a staple. Most of our dishes have one kind or another in it. I sure wish they weren't individually wrapped in plastic, though.
Avatar #1 Hit Supporter Marathon 2024 Swag For Life Member 12:38pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Michael: They’re not too widely distributed, but you can find them at Fairway. Evidently, Wegmans also carries them.
Avatar #1 Hit Supporter Marathon 2024 Swag For Life Member 12:39pm

@Handy: Field Roast wins for its frankfurters, though the plastic casings are a bit of a hassle.

@OO: Which? Broc. rabe? We love it. I just use a ton of garlic, a good bit of crushed red pepper, a little black pepper, a little salt and kind of steam it in the olive oil.
