Yes, online radio such as this is a real godsend. I've been in places with similar 'college' radio, that came and then went....so nic to have that again, and in a much bigger way....on that note, I should take the opportunity to say thanks Wolfie!!! Always stupendous. Bye all.

When I first heard WFMU I was in Nutley, NJ. I was so excited I got on the bus and went over to Upsala College to the old WFMU house to hang out. I ended up running to the library for records for an absolutely insane DJ. He's in an old photo of DJs sitting on the front stoop. Still can't figure out his name.

Has FMU retained much would you say? Is it still sort of the same beast? Could we recognize anything ? :)

TDK60. THAT, I do remember. In the 60s, every 6 months was like 5 or 10 years. My parents and I looked at each other across a vast chasm.

Well the DJ wasn't old. A young adult. I was 15. The DJ was so enthusiastic, his hair disheveled, his shirt in disarray. He was raving because there was a rumor the next Grateful Dead was going to be free of charge! Hee.
