Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from August 14, 2020 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

I first met him and his twin brother in kindergarten...so, 56 years ago. Then they went off to parochial school for three years, and returned to public school from fourth grade on, where we resumed our friendship. Language was a typical daily concern for us. The article does a good job of depicting his obsession.

When I tune into the live video stream, I expect to see you shirtless, smashing LPs over your head with a half-finished bottle of Old Crow bourbon on top of the turntable! Give the listeners what they want! ;)
