Reminds me that I'd like to read The Origin of Species, but am not likely to do so anytime soon, and therefore at all.

Listening today again to Tobias Picker's The Encantadas, I'm more inclined to read Melville's piece by that name and then, again, Moby Dick.

Jesse used Ernst Haeckel's amazing imagery for one of his shows, I remember www.google.com...
Avatar 🇰🇷 Swag For Life Member 7:22pm

I agree with Professor His, as an embryologist Haeckel was a hack (cheap shot, I know) but as an artist he was a visionary.

There must be a good graphic art version of The Origin of the Species out there to give you the nuggets and the you can dip in the original for verification.

Hello !
What I have heard is Darwin wrote very well - not always true of important scientific work - & presented the case in terms anyone could relate to from familiarity with horse or rose breeding - & in a readable manner as well. & of course he figured out Selection without yet knowing the mechanism - genetics ...

You're a proponent of punctuation in graphic design even when ("Bodega Pop.") it terminates an incomplete sentence? Isn't that sorta the opposite of the view that in graphic design typographic elements should be used sparingly, for example when legibility doesn't suffer? E.g., even the complete sentence "Hanutology recapitulates phonology" doesn't require a stop.
