Hi, Joe! So glad you pointed out one of the rare UK groups bucking the one-sided trend of American bands with British-evoking monikers! Just don't forget the Nashville Teens!

And how about interstate misrepresentation bands, like the New Yorkers (from Portland, Oregon)? And I don't even know where Texas' Five Canadians fall on this list — except in the "awesome" column.

Joe B:

ha yes! and as usual, i will mention the liverpool 5!

Hey Joe, Saw the Nashville Teens on (the other )TCM in Go Go Mania last week. They had these two (twin brother?) singers who I guess didn't join the Kiler on stage at the Star Club. Also I give up. what's RNSR?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm

Joe, that would make for a great comp: bands who succeed at music but fail at geography.

Great show today, Joe! Sometime in the past, I played "Get Down" by Half-Life and mentioned its "Paranoid"/Sabbath similarities, and then one of the guys from the band (could be, could not) actually got on the playlist and detailed how it was cut before the Sabbath track was released. Could have been someone faking it, but they had a lot of info at the ready!
