Having two different films, one from the American, and one from the Japanese persepective (even if the latter wasn't a box office hit), me, being a history nerd who used to live in Japan. Paint The Town Red and The Man With No Name, almost have no dialog, yet, have much tension that builds to action. George Lucas ripped a lot from those films (and has admitted as much) as well as Kurosawa.

Takes place in pre-war Korea, Manchuria, and Siberia throught WWII. Historically sound, and, weird..... (Korean director, forgot the name). It's on one of those streaming services....

	🥁 11:31pm WR: Pretty random that Clint Eastwood became a topic (i don't know the Richard Jewel reference) but agree with NGH about the Leone & WWII films being high points. The Leone films were so very influential that may diminish their impact and they are somewhat over the top but the two WWII films are intense portraits of the time and shines some light on what has been in the shadows. I've yet to watch the Charlie Parker bio pic.

When things are back to normal, I want to make an owl box w/ a camera.
