Favoriting October 17, 2020: Expiration Date Night
The 20th Century is long past its sell-by date, so we’re going to take it down off the shelf . . . and listen. Listen to its songs of love, lust, passion, romance. Songs to set the heart a-beating, the eyes a-fluttering, the pheromones a-wafting. An intimate evening . . . an evening where we get to know each other . . . a date . . . a date night . . . an expiration date night. (Did I mention jilted? There’s quite a few songs about being jilted, and relationships gone sour, too. After all, going sour is one of the best ways to tell if something has passed its expiration date.)

thanks for the segue northguineahills because that reminds me that we here at wfmu are in the midst of our year end fundraiser, the october hellraiser. there’s all kinds of information on the homepage as to what you can get for your pledge but what we get from your pledge is the ability to purchase more gum and scotch tape so that captain scott and the skeleton crew can help keep the station from crumbling while we djs broadcast from home. without us and the volunteers unable to be at the station to lend a helping jaw that’s a lot of gum that scott, ken, michele, matt, olivia, joe, darren, and ruth need to chew. so if you haven’t donated during this fundraiser, and you are able to, please consider doing so.
