  9:01am Andrew in Toronto:

Good morning, Bob, and all other Brainiacs.
  9:01am Jeff:

Good Morning Bob, Doc Rock and all the rest of you listeners out there.
  9:02am Zetti:

Frogs:), Luv ya Bob.
Avatar 9:02am YETI BOB:

hello morning peeps
Avatar 9:02am Tidepoolbay:

Bob! It is so good to have you back on the air!
  9:02am 1whoknewcthulhu:

Good morning, Bob, and all fellow Brainiacs. Looking forward to another musical Saturday morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:03am Peter from Dover NJ:

Good morning Bob B. Good morning, Yeti Bob.
Avatar 9:03am Really Lisa:

Hello Bob and all. Glad to be listening.
Avatar 9:03am DJ Guin:

Sounds like the intro music for The Honeymooners...
and Joyce Randolph as the Beaver!
Avatar 9:04am TDK60:

Good morning DJ BB. Got any Moby Grape? / I think Leary was wrong. Shouldn't it be "into your Mynd"?
Avatar 9:04am Deborah:

Continued Good Morning WFMUniverse!
Avatar 9:05am YETI BOB:

@DJ Guin: Funny you say that, I've been on a real Honeymooners kick lately, rewatching episodes I've already seen dozens of times ... still makes me laugh ... and I still love that opening music & title sequence. Just classic.
Avatar 9:07am SmokinJ:

Howdy bb & all!
Avatar 9:07am TDK60:

Bob, I still have the Shelleyan Orphan cassette, still workin' in the 2nd decade of the 21st century.
Avatar 9:08am DJ Guin:

@YETI -- I have been catching up on old Munsters and Green Acres. No cable, only internet, so I tune into the digital antenna. Mind blowing how each show was only on the air for a couple 2-3 years, yet it is still funny as hell.
  9:08am dan:

Good morning Bob.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:08am adamdoesit:

Good morning, Bob and brainchildren. The bacon is baking.
Avatar 9:09am DJ Guin:

"Herman, you schnook!"
Avatar 9:09am Bob Brainen:

Hey! To Andrew in Toronto Jeff, YETI BOB, Tidepoolbay,
1whoknewcthulhu, Peter from Dover NJ, Really Lisa, DJ Guin,
TDK60, Deborah & Smokin J! TDK, I have the vinyl. Great in any format!
Avatar 9:10am DJ Guin:

1st time listening, BB, but then again, Woof-Moo shows never disappoint.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10am Peter from Dover NJ:

Yeti Bob and DJ Guin: Honeymooners remains one of the best comedy programs out there.
  9:10am The Butterman:

I simply have too much to do today to go on a psychedelic journey. Groceries, cleaning, Rexing.
  9:11am Zetti:

Bob, I really enjoyed the Fairpoint last week! Thank you!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:12am WilliamfromDumont:

Morning Bob and all.
Avatar 9:12am Deborah:

Haven't heard this song in so long!
Avatar 9:13am YETI BOB:

@Peter: Kind of like the Beatles IMO. Not just one great genius, but four of them, working together to create something. Gleason was great, but the rest of the cast was almost just as good.
  9:13am Listener Bop Monroe:

greetings from cloudy Bay Ridge.
Great starting set sir!!!
Avatar 9:13am DJ Guin:

“Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time” - The Butterman
Avatar 9:17am Bob Brainen:

First Time listener, DJ Guin-that's very cool. Hey The Butterman. Glad you dug the Fairport Zetti. Maybe more today. Hey William From Dumont. Listener Bop Monroe-howdy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17am DjLorraine:

Good morning Bob and Brainiacs
  9:18am The Butterman:

Wall paper and psychedelics mix well…or badly depending on the circumstances. Either way the bloke at Home Depot is MOST Certainly I’ll-prepared to deal with that scenario!
  9:19am The Butterman:

Hey Bob.
Avatar 9:20am YETI BOB:

Are there any Record Store Day releases that any of you are excited about today? (Did you know it was RSD?)
Avatar 9:21am DJ Guin:

Jackie Gleason was a pal of Nixon, who purportedly showed Gleason Top Secret files on UFOs...or so the story goes.
Avatar 9:22am TDK60:

Fairport is always welcome. Bob, not to arouse any envy, but I got to journey to the annual Fairport fest in Oxfordshire, in 2018.
  9:23am The Butterman:

Sheriff Buford T. Justice knew of aliens! To the moon Smokey!
Avatar 9:23am Bob Brainen:

G'morning DjLorraine. Hey Butterman.
Gleason was a strange cat. Not that Nixon wasn't.
Wow, Cropredy-must have been great! Who was featured that year?
Avatar 9:24am YETI BOB:

@DJ Guin: I had to look that one up! While researching the Nixon/Gleason/little green men connection I found out that Gleason lived in an incredibly cool house, everything was round with no corners ... check these pics .... www.metv.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24am adamdoesit:

@DJ Guin Iirc, there's a scene between Gleason and J. Edgar Hoover -- maybe with Sinatra, too? -- in Delillo's *Underworld.* "Tempus sure does fugit, Jedgar," or something like that.
Avatar 9:25am YETI BOB:

@adam: Yeah, Jackie barfs on Frank's shoes. Or should I say, he Ralphs.
Avatar 9:26am DJ Guin:

Certainly, we mean "J. Edna" lol. Compared to our current POTUS, Nixon deserves a friggin' monument akin to Lincoln's.
Avatar 9:26am TDK60:

Cropredy village in northern Oxfordshire. Of course F.C. headline their own fest. In '18 also Brian Wilson (who was great along with Jardine & 11-piece), Oysterband, Afro-Celt Sound System, The Levellers, Al Stewart, etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28am PaulRobeson1920:

91.1 WFMU sounding good! Gooood Morning Ya’ll
Avatar 9:29am DJ Guin:

"Hey, Norton..why doncha go, uh, sit in the corner...?"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30am adamdoesit:

@YETI BOB Heh, deed he does. Tosses a few back, then tosses one forward. Is that at the baseball game?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31am PaulRobeson1920:

@DJ Guin — Paul Newman was number 2 on Nixon’s “Enemies List”
Avatar 9:31am Bob Brainen:

2018: good year of shows for you!
They will come back!
Hey PaulRobeson1920.
"Hey Nawton!"
Avatar 9:32am Tidepoolbay:

Good Morning!!
  9:32am Dennis Diken:

Just jumping in now, hey Bob and everyone. Saturday is here!
Avatar 9:33am DJ Guin:

Gleason's UFO house is in Westchester County, NY?
Not too far from me.... I smell a Road Trip! 2018 asking price? 12 million
westchestermagazine.com...
Avatar 9:33am YETI BOB:

@adam: Yeah. I really liked the opening of that novel, the baseball game - I thought I would like the book but by the time I got to the end my feelings changed a bit. I think the opening part "Pafko at the Wall" was written & published separately and later adapted to the novel.
Avatar 9:34am YETI BOB:

@Guin: I think that house is really beautiful!! If only I hadn't given all my money to WFMU, maybe I'd buy it.
  9:34am Crei6hton:

Morning WFMU
Avatar 9:34am DJ Guin:

gawd, I loves me the interwebs: 196 Furnace Dock Rd., Cortlandt Manor, NY
Avatar 9:38am DJ Guin:

i gotta run...but, i will keep tuned in...Smokey & The Bandit set to premiere as a TV Show..cause , you know, 2020.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39am adamdoesit:

Wait, what? My dad was a rabbi and a psychotherapist.

@YETI BOB The towers that he hated so much were still up when I read it. I'm not sure I could muster the sustained attention for it now. I do find myself thinking about it in retrospect, often around Russia and waste management.
Avatar 9:40am Michael Shelley:

Two more modern crossfade lps: Skylarking & I Am Shelby Lynne
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:41am PaulRobeson1920:

@DJ Guin On the eve of the 1968 Election, Nixon had Kissinger travel to Vietnam and sabotage the peace talks. In private LBJ thought this act was treason. That is heavy shaving cream! A statue for Nixon? Never
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:41am WilliamfromDumont:

Crossfade mania: Every Moody Blues album.
  9:41am Kevino:

Welcome Back. You were missed. I am mourning the passing of Spencer Davis. I will make a pledge to your show today. PS take it easy on the NRBQ :)
Avatar 9:41am DJ Guin:

Oh, wait...Jerry Jeff Walker died??? Nilsson's cover of Mr. Bojangles makes me feel like I am cutting onions, every. single. time. I hear it.
Avatar 9:42am Bob Brainen:

Hey Tidepoolbay, Hey Dennis & Crei6hton.
Can anyone think of otheer songs that are crossfaded on the original vinyl?
adamdoesit-is that true?
Avatar 9:43am TDK60:

Love that first Steve Miller album. Yet another great debut LP from the Bay during that effervescence.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:43am WilliamfromDumont:

@Bob Brainen Yep. Don't think he was a Dolphy fan; that's just me.
Avatar 9:46am Tidepoolbay:

Nice!
Avatar 9:47am YETI BOB:

I really like Yesterday's New Quintet and somehow missed them completely in the early 2000s. Just catching up now. So they really are Yesterday's New Quintet to me :) I want to hear the rest of this "Stevie" album!
Avatar 9:49am DJ Guin:

@PaulRobeson -- didn't Lincoln give poison milk to school children? lol
Avatar 9:51am Joe Merklee:

Morning all. I am loving the mellotron in the background of this Moody Blues track.
  9:51am Dennis Diken:

Is there a crossfade on “Like To Get To Know You” by Spanky & Our Gang?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51am PaulRobeson1920:

Jim Morrison sounding so fine
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54am melinda:

That Gleason house is awesome. I would expect him to have a more Hollywood-type pad.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:54am WilliamfromDumont:

@Dennis Diken, yes. Side Two all crossfades.
Avatar 9:54am Bob Brainen:

Ha. Wm. check Notorious, I think some songs are just real tight segues, very tight. Hey Kevino. Yeah Spencer Davis, also Jerry Jeff Walker and Viola Smith,a great Jazz drummer, but she made it to 107! Yeti Bob YsNQuinteet also have a tribute album of Bitches Brew/related stuff.
Dennis-that long kinda odd album version? Gotta check. Could be. I love that song!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:57am WilliamfromDumont:

Wow, I hadn't heard about JerryJeff. I was listening to the first Circus Maximus album recently.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58am Corey:

  10:07am Andrew in Toronto:

Whoa, thanks for the NRBQ treat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07am Peter from Dover NJ:

  10:14am Kevino:

I think there is some cross-fadding on Byrds "Untitled" Lover of the Bayou"?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:17am WilliamfromDumont:

There's some understated crossfading on Youngblood's Elephant Mountain.

Hi Bob. Still listening via the archives when I miss a live show. Lou D' played Jerry Jeff Walker a bit. & Circus Maximus. No doubt Jerry Jeff had a lot to contribute to "The Wind" that Bob Bruno wrote and sang vocal. RIP JJW
